Good and bad news coming out of Goodison today.
On the day when we proudly sit above the shite in the league, Blue Bill has announced that he has sold the club at last, for just £32m!
Apparently, Kenwright has sold out to the American billionaire Colonel Sanders who owns the Kentucky Fried Chicken worldwide franchise. That is the good news.
The Colonel is committed to investing in the club and says that funds will be available in the summer for new players.
Here's the bad news. As you will be aware, the KFC franchise brand is red and white stripes. The Colonel is now in talks with Nike, Everton's new kit manufacturer and we could be playing in red and white stripes next season!
Blue Bill said: 'At last we have found a buyer.'
'I have been working 36 hours a day to find the right person and then the Colonel comes along out of the blue! Did I just say 'out of the blue'? Typical me.'
'Anyway, I am taking the Colonel's suggestion of renaming Goodison - The KFC Stadium to the board next week.'
