Everton FC History - Lime Street 1966

I Was There

Here you go boys, I'm the one with the blue circle around his head.(see photo No. 2). I remember me dad taking me over from Birkenhead on the ferry, and I was just amazed by how many people were there. I was just 9y/o at the time, and it still sticks in my memory, how great a day it was. Me dad had taken me the year before to see the dark side team come home, but strangely enough, it was pretty pathetic compared to when Everton came home with the cup.

I just hope some of our younger supporters get the chance to experience days like that. Joey Kearney(19/04/04)

Where you in Lime Street on Sunday 15th May 1966?

Here's something a bit different. Where you, your Mum & Dad, your sister, brother or uncle at the FA Cup homecoming in Lime St in 1966? Click on the 3 photos below to see full size images.

Thanks to Dave, who took these pics from the steps of St George's Hall. (17/04/04)
