Everton were presented with the League Championship Trophy on Saturday 8th MAY 1985, after beating Q.P.R. 2-0. Then clinched the double when they beat Rapid Vienna in the European Cup Winners Cup Final on Wednesday 15th May 1985. They narrowly missed out on a real treble when they lost the FA Cup final on 18th May 1985, 1-0 to Man Utd.

I was there in 85 - Wembley and Rotterdam, but unfortunately with success comes celebrations, and i was one to celebrate and got rather pissed throughout that May. So it's all a blurr. Maybe we could have another success soon so I can celebrate again prefarably in Europe David and then I'll get to meet more ageing codgers who where also there. Great web site folks. yours Jim.
