THE EVERTON COLLECTION CHARITABLE TRUST FINALISES AGREEMENT WITH DAVID AND ELIZABETH FRANCE.

The Everton Collection Charitable Trust has announced this evening (31st December 2007) that it has concluded financial arrangements with David and Elizabeth France and that the David France Collection of football memorabilia has been finally acquired by the Trust.

The Everton Football Club Archive has already been transferred to the Liverpool Record Office and is owned by the Trust. With today's announcement,it means that the "Everton Collection" is now born and it will automatically become the greatest collection of football memorabilia in the world!

Commenting on the announcement, Tony Tighe Trustee of the Everton Collection Charitable Trust said, " We have today concluded our exclusivity agreement with David and Elizabeth France and transferred the agreed amount of funds to David and Elizabeth's bank account. The David France Collection will now be housed in the Liverpool Record Office alongside the Archive from Everton Football Club. From today it is now "the Everton Collection". The Trustees of our Charitable Trust, and our Steering Group have worked very hard over the past two and a half years and today we can announce that we have achieved our initial objective. Evertonians now own the greatest collection of football memorabilia in the world...it's official."
