*I've just been on the official EFC Web page and read in a 'question and answer' session that a company may get sponsership rights. I've just discused this with my partner who said she doesn't care what they call it as long as it's our home. I asked her what would she feel if the sponser was Tampax? She said we would play there once a month and that it would stop all the jammy goals going in! Everton must stand firm on this one. Who want's to play in the Coca Cola Arena? The club is steeped in history, everything about the club and it's origin is organic. The only thing organic with the scum across the park is they talk shit. Speaking of which I didn't see many red shirts out in Town on Saturday night - Shock Horror! And in work today - not a mention of the AC Milan game. The two faced twats wouldn't stop gloating the other week when they won some meaningless match - Splitters! Typical reds - scum of the Earth. Still smiling at my rejection of not having my option C in the naming of the bestest stadium to be built in this country - hoo ray. All the best. Marko. (09/08/01)

*"Dixie-land" A catchy and memorable name for an Entertainment complex - football ground - venue , etc... and a fitting tribute to the best goalscorer ever and a "With love from me to you" Beatles hometown tribute to one of the greatest - Elvis - The King - at the Kings Dock......Steve. (09/08/01)

*Why not call it "The Legends Stadium" or "Legends Arena", or even better the "School of Science" ?. We could name the stands after Dixie Dean, Alex Young, Howard Kendall, and how about one after Sir John Moores? - maybe the family might then come up with a few quid to see us through the next few years. Keep up the good work !

*Whilst agreeing initially with a few opinions on the subject of "doesn't matter as long as it happens on the pitch", just think of all those past great times we've all had(including Wimbledon and Coventry) and I bet most blues would get four out of five at Goodison. Goodison Park was and always will be part of our great times and memories. Dixie, to big Bob, to Dunc. So sorry, but the stadium must connect the past with the future. I fear this will be 'our' only involvement, as Bill is as bad as us for reminiscing. What i really would like to see though, as previous mail has stated, On the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey, the full length, facing on to the river. It will be a very sad day when Goodison Park finally shuts its doors.

*This long running saga over what the stadium could be called is just wishful thinking, we should all be aware that some big bucked company will come in flash the cash and we will have some lame name like the Rebolock stadium.

There are a couple of options we either retain the name in a ‘ New Goodison Park’ as we all have fond memories of ‘home’ but that hasn’t been the case over the last few seasons has it. Or we opt for something new and hope that a new name brings us new and improved optimism and luck. The adding of the ‘Stadium’ or ‘Arena’ sounds grand, but is should reflect some of our heritage and what the name ‘Everton’ means – These clubs who have sold out their old names in favour of the corporate option have shown no loyalty to their fans or heritage!

Personally I don’t think we’ll have any say in the name, it’s only a PR exercise. Yes I do give a toss on what we call it, but at the end of the day as long as we have an upturn in our fortunes who gives a shit! Cheers.Martin O’Shea – Corsham Blue Boy. (23/07/01)

*I reckon the 'New Goodison Park' is a good name, we have to keep the Goodison bit or it just wouldnt be the same. However, 'The Pride of Merseyside' has a ring to it, or something to do with 'Toffee'????, but like many have said before me, us fans will have no sayin the matter, and we'll end up with a crappy name like Boltons 'Reebok Stadium' but hey who cares about the name of the stadium, its how well we perform inside it that matters!!! (p.s I just have to add that Big Dunc is the Best!!!!!)
Vikz in Cumbria.(22/07/01)

*personally I think the Stadium should be called 'The New Goodison' or it should stay as 'King's Dock Stadium'. An alternative is 'The Dockside' mogsy13.(22/07/01)

THE NAMING ISSUE AT KINGS DOCK By Mickey Blue Eyes.

What's in a name? Well, nothing if you don't mind being called Mongo when your name is really Jack. See, it does matter because it carries a sense of identity. Only criminals and malfunctionals want to change their identity.

This is just as pertinent in the discussion of a proposed name for our possible move to a new stadium/arena at Kings Dock. What you call it will be part of our identity for a long time to come. Best to get it right first time and not go through the trauma of later changes.

In my view the new stadium/arena has to be indelibly identified with Everton Football Club, preferably with an unmistakable tag. That's why I reckon it should be named "The Evertonian" or something similar. After all, it wouldn't exist (always presuming it does get built) without the initiative of our club. I wouldn't object either to "Goodison Park" since that has a link with the past and the whole world knows who plays there.

But I object wildly to something bland or, worse, branded. Here's why.

We all know that a camel is really a horse designed by committee. Namewise, what else could drive Derby to swap the unforgettably named Baseball Ground for the instant enema of Pride Park, or Middlesborough to decide on Riverside Stadium instead of Ayresome Park? Yeuk. Sunderland at least had the courage to go for Stadium of Light in a mistaken straight pinch from the Estadio da Luz in Portugal. Mistaken, because Luz is actually the area around the stadium, not the scientific condition…but it matters not, it has a ring to it. Congratulations to the Mackems. It's no coincidence that both Derby's and Boro's new grounds are right in the middle of awful industrial estates and they probably sought to relieve that with titles which might go well on an American suburban condo.

Speaking of which, the Yanks usually know how to deal with this stadium name thing. Few people will not know who plays at the Yankee Stadium. And new stadia have names like Jacobs Field and Camdens Yard and other similar kinds of individual statements. I'm all in favour of anything which livens up life and gets us away from chips with everything.

So what have we heard so far from the committee responsible for the Kings Dock? Now here's a surprise: Waterfront Stadium. It's enough to make you lock and load and go massacre the whole lot of them. Count me in with yourself and the rest of the firing squad if you want to leave the Suits full of holes. Waterfront Stadium…..it has the ring of a wet cardboard box and the imagination of a duck. Why, you wonder groaning inwardly, do people do this to themselves? It reminds me of Dunroamin' and Rose Cottage without the pizzaz. It has all the appeal of suet pudding, porridge and tripe. Why do they have to be so fucking mediocre? If we can't shoot the perpetrators we ought at least to be able to force them to their knees and batter them with rolled up copies of Private Eye filled with lead.

And lurking over the horizon is the truly awful threat of naming rights. Now, committee Suits are bad. But gawd save us from corporate Suits who are downright evil and three times worse in their one-dimensional anonymity. Look no further than Railtrack for the evidence. You can also find it at the disgracefully named Reebok and McAlpine stadia. Nike/Adidas/Puma/Murdoch/Hollands Pies/Coca-Pepsi Cola anybody? They pays the money and steals your identity. If you let them. Who wants to sell their soul for a mess of pottage and peanuts? No sir, count me out of that one and no mistake. I can't stand the horrors of MacDonalds either.

So I say ditch the bland and the putrid and go for it, really go for it, with The Evertonian. We have nothing to lose but our name. Is that alright with you, Jack? Mickey Blue Eyes.

*how about "mazzer isn't the best shag in the world but he's in the top two stadium" regards Mazzer. (1707/01)

* I can see it now.... At the Water's Edge - 'Everton's Merseyview Arena'- The Mersey Bowl.
Will Thomas.St Helens.(17/07/01)

* It will be called 'The Waterfront Stadium', unless a big multinational company forks out a lot of money for the naming rights.
Ken Rogers. The Echo. (16/07/01)

*Why not call it the "Theatre of Nightmares" because if we dont start doing something about the team first, no-one will be going the match at all if were in the 1st or the 2nd Div. Burkey from the Street End. (16/07/01)

*i personally think the new stadium must be called Goodison Park because another name just wouldn't be right for Everton.
Ray. (16/07/01)

*Lets not forget the man who brought us the most successful period in our distinguished history how about "The Pisshead Stand"
Seriously though, 'Blue Dream Arena' is my contribution and how about "The Howard Kendall Stand" or the "Kenny Dalglish is a Homosexual Stand" or the "We've got a better ground than the Redshite Arena". Steve Enty.(15/07/01)

*How about : 1) My Blue Heaven 2) Now that's what I call a football stadium 3) Dixie's Dock. Or simply keep the name Goodison ? THERE CAN BE NO MENTION OF L*******L IN THE NAME AT ANY COST ! Murky Dave. (15/07/01)

*I think 'Kings Park' has a bit of a ring to it myself. Guernsey Boy Blue. (15/07/01)

*I have a couple of suggestions. I think the simplest, shortest names have the best impact. Dean Stadium or The Dock Stadium.
Don't get too wound up about anyone wondering who the stadium belongs to. Does anyone have any doubts where the Riverside is or The Stadium of Light? Or who plays there? And they are smaller clubs than us. If you call it Goodison or Goodison II or Goodison the Return you will take the edge off it and it starts sounding like a Sylvester Stallone film. Also, it's not an 'arena'. People will be thinking we play bloody ice hockey. Gary Cullen (15/07/01

*Am I the only one who thinks it premature trying to name a stadium that is not yet definitely ours. If there is one thing that is wrong with the rest of the bid, those Manc bastards previously beaten, will surly make life impossible for Ken and Houston. Untill they start digging holes in the ground there will always be someone trying to stop us. Andy N. (15/07/01)

*I don't give a shit what we call it, got me thinking back though, what about those arc's behind the goals we used to have, don't know what the fuck they where for, but they looked ace! P.S. how much d'you think Ball would take for the crest off the side of his house? d'you think 30 pieces of silver would be a fair price? I've got my own ladder, he wouldn't even have to bother his arse to take it down! Deep Blue, feeling bitter and twisted. (15/07/01)

*Hi from a "Down Under" blueblood. I left Glwadys St for down under in Jan '70 but still follow the blues as much as possible. I think that if Walter is still in charge when the stadium is named then a good choice would be "The Goodison Home for Homeless and Unwanted Footballers"!!!! Chris JenkinsonTownsville, sunny tropical North Queensland, Australia (15/07/01)

* Call it 'The Blue Waterfront Kings Dock Stadium that EFC have no ownership over at All' - do you blame me for being cynical?
Of course you dont. Look back at this message in 5 years time once the new ground is up, and Goodison has been demolished for a Tesco's, and when we are homeless...IMRAN MALIK. (15/07/01)

*Hows about "EVERTONIA" just like "Blisstonia" ans so on.....anything is better than "Danka Stadium" and we all remember that dont we?? Declan Byrne. (15/07/01)

*what about THE FRANCIS JEFFERS MEMORIAL STADIUM or THE HAUNTED HOUSE or even better THE L********L ECHO TIME SHARE STADIUM but my favourite is THE BEST FOOTBALL GROUND IN THE WORLD EVER 2
cheers bluebean (15/07/01)

*I think we would be wasting time contacting the Everton board with names for the new stadium, better off contacting the owners not the tenants??? Anyone up for the Bill Kenwright Playhouse!! Luvvie. Tommy Beep (STH Glwadys St)(15/07/01)

*Er....How's about the Dixie Dean Arena ? In honour of the Great Man's legendary training regime, the current playing squad should be made to run around the stadium , drinking three pints of mild and a Steak & Kidney Pie. The only difference being, Dixie never
got in to a Porsche and drove home afterwards. Neil Mcfarlane. (15/07/01)

* Call it Dixies. Then we can all live in the past, as well as the Board. Jeff, exiled Evertonian. (15/07/01)

* why not simply call it "THE EVERTONIAN" and lets also have a "toffee ferry" too and from birkenhead delivering all us" wirral squirral" supporters...less traffic boys. philly c (park end season ticket holder) (13/07/01)

* what about the kwik save arena ,with the motto 90% off all good players ie jevons etc
JUSTIN CONNOLLY; DORTMUND GERMANY. (13/07/01)

* i cant believe were even discussing this.any everton stadium MUST be called Goodison Park any other name just will not do
michael holcroft. blue. (13/07/01)

*What about :'ROYAL BLUE STADIUM' Tom Collins. (13/07/01)

*ive heard a rumour that the stadium will be called the cocacola stadium and that we,ll recieve 100mill in sponsorship money enuf to buy 2 zidanes! anyone else heard this? (hairy blue 12/07/01)

*What's wrong with calling the stadium King's Dock stadium? or how about the Great Walter Smith stadium (yeah right!)
Sooraj Nair. Everton supporter for 16 years and counting. (11/07/01)

*Hello from california, just a quick note on the subject of the name of the stadium , what about 'THE GOODISON KINGS STADIUM"
Colin Wilson. (11/07/01)

*Theres no comprimise........it has to be either called one of the following 1.) Goodison Park 2.) Goodison Park 3.) Goodison Park How can any one call it the Kings Dock Stadium.........how sad is that.............we need it to be called Goodison........the tradition would be otherwise ruined!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on Toffee's wheres your heart!? Pep^UK®© aged 16. (11/07/01)

*How's about The pan of Scouse? looks like one dunnit? or The WR Dean Stadium. Mick Nolan, (11/07/01)

*Where is the money coming from for this 'salvation stadium?' Im aware of the communication delays between the motherland England and far-scaped Australia but haven't I heard we are in debt? Better trade in the sharp shooting Pembridge to get a couple of tickets in the UK National Lottery. True Blue Kane. (10/07/01)

*How about calling it the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE STADIUM and then everybody would want to play in it!.
However reality tells me The KINGS WATERFRONT STADIUM MERSEYSIDE, which would have a good ring to it should we ever be successful again. Derek Wadeson, Upper Glwadys. (10/07/01)

*big dunc park. Sean O'conner. (10/07/01)

*Why The Fuck does it have to have the words "stadium" or "arena" in the name????? Call it either Goodison Park, Kings Park or Goodison Dock. James Driscoll. (10/07/01)

*It would be great if it was called, "Stadium of Kings" Blueheart . (10/07/01)

*The Everton Waterfront Stadium, Kings Dock. One slight problem. Would some clever dicks refer to us as 'the dockers'?
Coyle. (10/07/01)

*I think the new stadium should either be called 'The Kings Dock' or just 'Goodison', face it who is gonna say ''Comin' down to the Kings Waterfront Park today'', if they call it something like that it will just be nicknamed the kings dock. Also the two ends should be called the Dixie End and the Kendall End, After our greatest player and manager, and the two stands should be called The Gwladys Stand and The Kings Stand. Daniel Sage, Lydiate. (10/07/01)

*Definetly Goodison park. Do you reckon we could have a gallows so we could hang the kopites one by one on the banks of the royal blue mersey? Simon Caton. (10/07/01)

*My choices : 1. Toffeeopolis! 2. Stadio Del Rey 3.Goodison-on -Sea Stadium. Sorry to take the p**s - but with all the talent walking out of the door courtesy of Walter's astute management - it's a farce! Way things are going you may as well call it "The Marie Celeste Arena" - who the hell will be there to watch Pembo & Co in Div.1(or 2 if Walter continues his demolition job).
Blue Cynic. (10/07/01)

*I think that the new stadium should be called "The Blue Kipper Arena" Graham Anderson.(10/07/01)

*it should definitely be called "New Goodison Park" then we could be the catchy "NGP Arena" for all the Tina Turner and Steps concerts. from Simon Caton. (10/07/01)

*I think the new ground should be called "we will never be as good as them even with a new ground"....until we get some money anyways. Ken. (10/07/01)

*The fans playing at naming the stadium is all very well - but lets look at all the recent precedents, plus the fact that we will almost certainly be even more desperate for cash in 2005 than we are now. I'll have my tenner down the bookies now that the name ends up being a corporate sell out - One to One Arena, Umbro Park etc etc. Damian. (10/07/01)

* I don`t really care what the new stadium is called as long as it is as good as it looks on paper and we get back to good football with a winning team. Glyn. Cumberland Blues. (10/07/01)

*The fans won't get a say in what the stadium is call it will be sold to the highest bidder. Just like the Reebox stadium, it all boils down to money and sponsorship. Which in the present climate we could done with a few quid in the bank. So if the stadium is'nt going to be called Goodison Park what doesit matter. Peter Pan. (09/07/01)
* how about keepin it simple "goodison dock" with the gwladys street at one end, the dixie dean end, with the alex young end and the harry catterick stand, you cant get better than that! the though of having li******l in the name is a disgrace, the l******l arena my arse!
john needham! (09/07/01)

*I think it should be calledb the BLUE PHEONIX STADIUM because like the pheonix the blues have risen from relegation and will always come back to the top wherever we are in the league.
From Cecil. (09/07/01)

*I agree with Mickey that if you have any real aspirations for the club it needs to be marketed in the correct way. The only way for the blues to ever compete at the levels of M** **d or Lazio will to build the value of the club by using every marketing option available. Naming the stadium simply EVERTONIAN or EVERTON PARK would be the best way of doing it.
Simon May. (09/07/01)

* STADIUM OF KINGS - WITH THE STANDS BEING NAMED AFTER DIXIE DEAN , ALEX YOUNG , KENDALL & GOODISION PARK STAND REASONING - ARE NOT ALL EVERTON PLAYERS KINGS EXCEPT THE GLEN KEELY'S OF THIS WORLD AND AFTER ALL THE PYRAMIDS ARE AT THE VALLEY OF THE KINGS .IT ALSO RECOGNISES ITS LOCATION AT THE KINGS DOCK AND NO MENTION OF L********L WHO WANTS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH SCUM
EXILED FORMBY BLUE LIVING NEAR TRAFFORD UNITED.
GEOFF. (09/07/01)

*How about St Domingo's in memory of the old Goodison. True Blue. (08/07/01)

*How about a)'The Blue Kipper stadium', or in light of the selling of Jevons,b)'The Bargain Basement Arena'. Billy Latta. (08/07/01)
Blue Kipper says:
All the names printed here are good efforts, but we must agree with Billy's first choice, & we urge all fans to bombard the Everton board with emails, letters, phone calls etc. , calling for this to be the preferred option.

*What about naming it after Barmby's wife, as it will also accommodate 55,000! 'Deep blue'. James. (08/07/01)

*How about the "Run before we can walk stadium"? Col. (08/07/01)

*I think the stadium should be something to do with the King's Dock because we do play in the Royal Blue(excluding that sky blue crap what we had when olly was still with us). I hate the monarchy and they should be shot but its Royal Blue we play in and I'm proud. The King's Dock Waterfront Stadium, The King's Dock Arena, Drown the kopites one by one in the Royal Blue Mersey. Dom. (08/07/01)

*Only one name: THE EVERTONIAN. No need for the words "stadium" or "arena." Just imagine the PR value of that name on every ticket printed for every event. Not only does the stadium get onto almost every waterfront postcard that goes out to the world.....so does the name. In the meantime, someone not a million miles away gets shunted out to a railway siding in Speke. Bliss. :o) :o) :o) Can't wait meself. Mickey Blue Eyes. (05/07/01)

*When we moved from another ground ******* many years ago, we didn't bring with the name, we moved to Goodison Park. I don't believe that we should bring the Goodison with us, I would definitely go for "The Kings Stadium". Only problem is that the media will no doubt then call it "The Kings Stadium, L*zzxyz*z" so maybe "The Kings Mersey Stadium" would avoid the need to be more diplomatic? We can always call the home end of the stadium after "Goodison". Alan Robinson. (05/07/01)

*There is no way that the word L*******l show appear in the name of the new stadium. In view of its location and the fact that it will hopefully be the dawn of a new successful era for the club, the name should be the Kings Dock Arena and the immediate areas around the stadium should be known as Goodison Park Way and Dixie Dean Way or something similar to mark the history of the club. Loyal season ticket holder for many years. Steve from Preston(05/07/01)

*Hi, Seeing that the Stadium will be on the riverside, how about' the Merseyside Arena'. Bob the scouser. (05/07/01)

*we should stick with ' Goodison park' . Kev Bolland. (05/07/01)

*i think the new stadium should be called the kings dock arena or the water front most definatly!!! FROM GAZZA . (05/07/01)

*I'm with the guy's that have suggested the King's Arena, but how about naming one of the stadium's eating facilities 'The Pieman' in recognition of Good 'Ole' Joe Parkinson and our fans pie munching triumph?!! Steven Barrett. (05/07/01)

*What about 'Kings Park'? Mixture of the old and the new - can't call it Goodison - new home, new beginning. We didn't take the cabbage patch name with us when we moved to GP. Kings Park, with the stands named after ex players, Dean Stand, Mercer Stand, Sagar Stand, Lawton Stand. Eddie Harbour. (05/07/01)

*My vote definitely goes to New Goodison Park. The only other ideas that could be entertained are : Goodison Stadium or Goodison Arena. How many of us are forced to listen to the radio and sit anxiously for the commentator to say...'Goal at Goodison....'?? There's no debate - Goodison must stay. Whatever happens, lets not make the same mistake Sunderland made and name it after another club's stadium!! Shez Khan. (05/07/01)

*why not call it " THE BLUE DOME " david s. jones ( newtown , powys) (05/07/01)

*I think that it should be called 'GOODISON PARK' and 4 it not to have the word L%*&£$l anywhere in it. Frosty. (04/07/01)

*How about 'The Stadium of Science'. Pete Kelly. (04/07/01)

*My wife Debbie suggests "The Blue Dock Arena" Steve Enty. (04/07/01)

*It will be called The Kings Dock or Kings Waterfront Stadium - that's where it is why call it anything else?
Mark Grayson. (04/07/01)

*Over our dead bodies should the name L&*%$£*&l appear in the name of the best stadium in England. Although we all will retain memories of Goodison, lots very good, others very bad, I don't think Goodison should appear in the title as the old girl has become a deadweight around our necks. We need to move forward into the future and stop looking to our past. Our great achievements in the past can never be taken away but we should be striving to add to them in the future and stop harping about our history; this is the only way we will become great again - and we will. Nick Armitage. (04/07/01)

*I think we should call it the waterfront stadium. JAY from Aintree. (04/07/01)

*How about the Dixie Dean National Stadium; It seems fair that its named after the legend himself . Justin Connolly. (04/07/01)

*I had this dream the other night - or was it a nightmare. There I was gliding my way through thickly carpeted corridors, past crystal chandelier clad bars, restaurants and souvenir halls towards my seat in the 'Dixie Dean' stand. The occasion? Evertons inaugural match at the new 'Kings Stadium' in August 2005. I skip across the travellator and am shown to my seat by a courteous steward (now I must be dreaming) The view is magnificent - no ' restricted seating' here. I am perched high in the stands - the royal blue Mersey glistens in the background as a huge roar goes up as the teams take to the field. This is breathtaking. All those years of false hopes, public enquiries, tenants protests and 'sit ins'. We've really gone and done it. The referee tosses a coin and Michael Ball elects to attack the 'New Gwladys Street end' . Just as Evertons new £50 million centre forward - 'Gorgeous Gustavo Gustini'
(60 goals in Seirra A last year) is about to kick off - riot clad troops enter the arena. A khaki figure in jack-boots pulls out a loud speaker ' schnell, schnell, clear the area at once, the deal is off, there has been a change of mind - this place has been reserved for car parking for Liverpool Football Club - everyone must leave at once!'. Sounds familiar? you can't blame us blues for being a tad cynical. The Cup Final ticket fiasco, The farcical Muller and Ravenelli 'deals', the Hysel disaster, Peter Johnson etc etc. I can't get really carried away just yet and will believe it when I'm sitting in the 'Kings Stadium' (or what-ever we call it) and I pinch myself so hard it brings tears to my eyes. Then I'll know I'm not dreaming.
Thomas (very doubting). (04/07/01)

* A) The Kings Stadium - The home of Everton Football Club. B) The New Goodison Park Stadium. Mark Cuddy. (04/07/01)

*I love Goodison but I can't stand to see Everton like this if we have to go commercial then so be it I'd rather watch a good Everton side than keep on like this. If this will solves our problems like Kenwright say's, but I do trust him, so lets pack our bags and keep followin the blues into a hopefully better future. Mark Green. Skelmersdale. (04/07/01)

*Paul McCartney must be really pissed off now that the Airport's been named after John Lennon. So why don't we offer to name the stadium after him in exchange for a couple of hundred million? David Lyons, Up Holland. (04/07/01)

*The Waterfront Stadium. Mark Whitworth. (04/07/01)

*I reckon it should be called.......'.the Dixie dean arena'. Paul Mccomb. (04/07/01)

*How about the 'KOPITES ARE GOBSHITES' stadium? D.Mahon. (04/07/01)

*I THINK U SHOULD CALL THE NEW STADIUM ' THE NEW GOODISON PARK' SHAUN COX, BOOTLE. (04/07/01)

*The New Goodison Park, The Ball Kendall Harvey Stadium, The Howard Kendall Stadium, The Harry Catterick Stadium,
The Best Stadium in Division 1 Stadium. Sorry got a bit carried away there. Barry Kermode. (04/07/01)

* What about 'the New Goodison Park'. Dave Percival. (04/07/01)

* Definitely retain the name Goodison Park and the surrounding area should be called 'The Banks of the Royal Blue Mersey' Steve Mills + Mark Jones. (04/07/01)

* There is only one name for a stadium to be used by Everton Football Club , and this has never been an issue until now it has always been said by all concerned including Mr. Kenwright that if we move then when we move or where we move it must be called GOODISON PARK. The only alteration to this that would be acceptable would be for the new stadium to be called THE NEW GOODISON PARK. I hope I speak for all Evertonians with these comments and hope everyone makes thier feelings known so as notice has to be taken of the people who count, US THE FANS. John Jarvis. (04/07/01)

* In the light of recent events it would be appropriate to name it 'the Everton John Lennon Stadium'. Only joking how about
'Everton kings Stadium'? Trev. (04/07/01)

* I agree we can't use the "L" word in the name but the financial viability of the whole complex could be affected if we include the word 'Everton' or 'Goodison' in the name. Narrow-minded RS fans would probably boycott the SFX events. "Mersey Arena" or "Kings Dock Arena" would be a good compromise - neither side could take offence with either name.

On the other hand, why not use the "L" word in the name of the whole development (e.g. The L!v~rp**l International Entertainment Complex or whatever) but to balance things out, we call the stadium 'Everton Arena'. That way, SFX can exploit the international recognition of the "L" word but we don't have to suffer the indignity of playing in a stadium named after the them.

*' kopites are gobshites stadium' . matt prior. (04/07/01)

* I think we should call it the 'Elvis Presley Merseyside stadium' ...got a catchy ring to it. Shay Dempsey. (04/07/01)

* it should be " Goodison Arena" or " Everton Arena". Christian Uhlenbruck. Denmark. (04/07/01)

* I feel the club should not pass up a golden opportunity to go for something unique and totally original in naming the new stadium.I would therefore like to propose the name "Kings Dock Stadium". Tim Hardman. (04/07/01)

* Call the new Stadium "Everton Ball Park" - not only will Alan be chuffed, but we can pretend it's named after young Michael to boost his ego and hopefully persuade him to stay...Neil Adams. (04/07/01)

* 'Goodison Park'. Absolutely! Paul Hutchinson. (04/07/01)

*I would like it to be named Goodison Park II, remaining with are history but still with a new touch. David Mulvaney. (04/07/01)

* How about' The Everton Park International Center'..truely and EPIC. Ted.(03/07/01)

* I was thinking about the ' W.R. Dean Stadium' or something like that. I heard rumours though that the council want it to be called the 'L*&^$^&*l International arena' or something along those lines! Please tell me this ain't true!!!!!!! C. Jones (03/07/01)

* We should retain the name GOODISON PARK. Tom Faux (07/10/00)
