Kings Dock What The Hell Is REALLY Going On? It is no coincidence that we hear absolutely nothing about the Kings Dock for months, & then the day before the Shareholders Dinner, The Daily Post comes out with an 'EXCLUSIVE' quoting sources who have inside information (who are they?), saying that due to spiralling costs Everton are trying to get rid of the expensive bits - the retractable roof and the sliding pitch, & replacing them with cheaper bits. Then we have the club's site saying: “During the course of what has been a protracted and demanding process, Everton Football Club’s commitment to King’s Waterfront has never, for one second, wavered. We have pursued the vision of a new and spectacular stadium with vigour, determination and absolute professionalism. It is totally untrue to suggest that Everton Football Club has in any way attempted to modify the arena’s original masterplan to reduce the overall construction costs. We promised our supporters a unique, world-class stadium. It is that or nothing. Quite simply, there will be no compromise. Everton still remains confident that it will be able to meet in full the obligations which were originally laid down.” Blue Kipper has brought the fans interviews with all the leading players via EfKD. We will continue to do so. All we want is the truth. If the stadium is not going to be built, tell the fans. We are all adults. We can take it. If the stadium is going to be built. Get together, behave like adults & sort it out. The Daily Post says that Everton would need an extra £15m & could not get it. Blue Kipper knows a way. Ask The Fans. 15,000 fans putting up £1000, in return for a good seat at The Dock. Call Y'self an Evertonian? (21/02/03) FOOTNOTE:
