What
do you think of the new kit? Do You Prefer A, B, C or D What The Fans Think Of The Kits (See Images Above) * Hello, Personally I don't like the new design, I think our current kit is the best we have had in a while. Why can't kits just be kept plain and simple with a white collar on a blue shirt? Also I'm sorry but I hate white socks, bring back the blue ones, what's wrong with blue socks?. Ian from Chesterfield (01/03/06) * WHITE SOCKS WHITE SOCKS WHITE SOCKS where's our white socks and wont this be our 6th new home kit in 6 years well we need the £££££ from somewhere. Derek Reece. (01/03/06) * Hello, Yeah i like the new kit, just hope Arteta's in it next season!!!. Dave Willoughby. (01/03/06) * Sorry not a fan of the style at all, need to stick to white socks as well! Phil.M. (01/03/06) * BOLLOCKS get rid of blue soxs and umbro diamond. AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1. Dan B. (01/03/06) * I love the design, but still think white socks are more specifically Everton. I hope Umbro go with it. Tim Welsh. (01/03/06) * I love the new kit, i think its the best we've had for years! but the socks should be white. Jonny.D. (01/03/06) * I think the kit looks stylish, it gives it a continental look!!!. Sukhdev Sahota. (01/03/06) * I think it looks shite, particularly with the Umbro logos on the sleeves & shorts Joey. Y. (01/03/06) * This kit would be awesome! I would defo buy one and i know my dad would to being a traditional evertonian! I think it would sell a lot more than the previous kits just on this factor alone. Robert Conno. (01/03/06) * YEAH LIKE IT, BUT BRING BACK THE AMBER AWAY STRIP. TA, RONNIES SLEEVES. (23/02/06) * Fine, but do we really need the Umbro stuff all over it? Mark B (Toronto). (23/02/06) * Kit B, by far the best. Kit D looks like an egg chasers kit!! Phil (Manchester) (23/02/06) * Exiled Toffee here in Devon - The design of kit shown with Tim Cahill inside, looks as good as it will get, and you just have to keep the white socks!!! (Mind you from the days of the fifties, socks were always blue with white tops!) Mike Don. (23/02/06) *
B is by far and away the best option for a new kit.
A touch of the old school in keeping with the new .best looking kit
in the premiership. *
Kit D. REVOLTING.... PURE REVOLTING.... EVERTON PLAY
IN ROYAL BLUE AND WHITE, NOT ROYAL BLUE, YELLOW AND WHITE..... IT LOOKS
LIKE A LEAGUE LEAGUE 2 KIT. Keep the shirt blue and the socks white.
I really hate it when everton change to blue socks. Somerset
Fish. (23/02/06) * B Is the best out of these samples, I like the white V neck we must stay with white socks, its our tradition. Ian Fairclough. (23/02/06) * What's this nonsense about "traditional" white socks? When I started watching Everton in the early '50s socks were definitely blue with a white turnover top.The socks were still blue with a white top in the 1966 Cup Final. Bah humbug. David C. (23/02/06) * Whilst I agree with white socks in a new kit, traditionally, The blues always played in Blue socks with a white turnover. -- see pictures of Dixie Dean --- this was changed in (about) 1967 to white with a blue turnover and can be seen on the photos with Roy Vernon / Alex Young etc. I remember thinking at the time I preferred the blue -- which was re-introduced later by I think Gordon Lee. AA. (23/02/06) * White socks!!!! and whats with all these little collars lets bring back the big collars!!!!! Nathan Ball. Mansfield. (23/02/06) * If there is a vote I think kit b because i prefer white socks. NOT kit c because it looks like the one we had in the 80s. Chloe. (23/02/06) * Don't like the Umbro logo stripe all the way down the sleeve.Just on the shoulder would be enough. Socks OK now. S E Angela Whitehead. (23/02/06) * There is little difference, I don't really like the shirt sleeves with that white, is that the real kit for next season ? Ian D. (23/02/06) * Kit A is good, kit B is better, kit C is definitely appealing and kit D looks like something a Leeds rugby player would wear. Sarah McGawley (23/02/06) *
Hey Guys fantastic website. Kit 'C' the retro Kit is
the best one by far! Tony Burke. (23/02/06) *
Kit B looks good, but PLEASE get rid of the Umbro stripes down the sleeves.
Why can't we have the traditional look? We've had some dreadful kits
over the last few years but kit B is spot on. Cocker. (22/02/06) * Obviously a wind up, but not a bad effort. It is far too fussy with too much going on with the style. What I’d like to see is an overall of the away kit, and a return of the proper amber and blue Alan Ball style kit we had. Cheers, Tony Dunne. (23/02/06) *
SIMPLY HORRIBLE, ESPECIALLY THE BLUE SOCKS IS THERE
ANY REASON WHY WE CAN'T KEEP THE CURRENT ONE ANOTHER SEASON? IT IS THE
BEST EVER! HAS ANYBODY REALISED THAT WE HAVE HAD A DIFFERENT KIT ( DUE
TO VARIOUS MILESTONES, SPONSOR CHANGES, MANUFACTURER CHANGES FOR THE
LAST 7 YEARS BAR ONE? AND THE ONE THAT DID LAST 2 SEASONS WAS THE WORST
EVER!! WHAT HAPPENED TO A KIT FOR 2 SEASONS? ALL CLUBS AGREED TO THIS
DIDN'T THEY? * Sleeves are too fussy, but at least it's Royal Blue! I agree with others-socks should be white. Tradition is important. ROBBO. (26/01/06) * Good Kit, but WHITE socks! Looks so much better! Rowena. (26/01/06) * Shirt's fine although too over-designed to rank as a classic. My big problem is the socks. They have to be white. The original School of Science wouldn't have been seen dead in blue socks. Let's stop this abomination. Stephen Firn. (26/01/06) * Love the old design; I'm all for a retro style, since not much else seems likely to bring back the Good Old Days. Question though: can Everton be the first club to dump the baggy shorts? Who the hell brought them in in the early 90s, and why? They don't look good, and having had to wear them, they don't feel good. Bring back the old style ones of the 70s and 80s; they're called shorts for a reason (and Stanley Matthews is long gone). Come to think of it, if we wanted to be really radical, we could pioneer a new kind of jersey altogether, and I think the Australian Football style (sleeveless) makes one hell of a statement. Just a few thoughts. PM: Everton fan (since 1965) in the USA. (26/01/06) * New kit!!!! Not nice at all!!!! Retro can be cool, but just like so many other things at our club “we are way off the mark” (could have put a biffa joke in there but not after this performance at the weekend). To be honest though the kits don’t really matter – mugs like me will still buy one for myself and one for the littlun. Can’t remember a kit that made us play better or worse; its just a shirt (better ask Alex Ferguson about the grey kit for bad performances – we cant complain though our grey kits done us well this year). If I’m honest I have never really like many of the Umbro kits, we seemed to have cracked it a few years ago with puma – never mind, typical Everton, you think they have cracked it and somehow it always backfires. Character building and you wouldn’t have it any other way. Martin Cooil. (26/01/06) * NO BLUE SOCKS PLEASE. A KEY COMPONENT OF OUR IMAGE IS OUR COMMITTMENT TO WHITE SOCKS. Regards. Chris Farrell. (26/01/06) * This idea is as good as any other, and better than most. On this year's kit, why do they have to have that dodgy little collar? I'd have one of these anyway.. Steve. (26/01/06) * I quite like the look of the new kit, but hope they opt for the white socks! much classier. Al. Southport. (26/01/06) * Ditch the blue socks in favour of white ones and lose the silly stripes on the shirt/shorts and we might be getting somewhere. Mick K. (26/01/06) *
Great site lads! I reckon the new kits sound, looking
forward to wearing it in Ibiza this summer. It'd look even better with
Terry Henry in it. * I think the new kit is excellent brings back some memory's great site keep it up. Albert Levens. (26/01/06) * We need white socks other than that the kit is good. Paul Stevo. (26/01/06) * We should officially call this the "SHIT KIT"........the kit should be in the style of the Italian national kit, but a copy of the 1966/70 kit for home and the away 1968 cup final kit ....and it should never change. The socks can vary maybe blue with white tops or the other way round, never solid blue...solid white is good.....no shite on the arms and just the crest with the nil satis logo....we don't need to have Everton football club on the shirts, we know who we are and if yer don't, fuck off! Peter Dunne........California. (26/01/06) * The kit looks good but can we not keep at least one kit for more than one season? GW. (26/01/06) * I'm sorry to say it but I really don’t give a fiddlers what the new kit looks like!!! I am sick of buying everton kits only for them to go out of date within a season, It is about time the everton board stuck with a kit which lasts for more than a season and give the fans a bit of value for there money. Belfast Blue Sean. (26/01/06) * Well, it least it looks blue – why do the colour photographs in the press of the current kit sometimes appear to look as though we are playing in Arsenal’s home strip? Sorry Arsene, something else to moan about………. Mike. Weston-super-Mare. (26/01/06) * I quite like the design but why the blue socks? Everton's home kit looks far better with white socks and reminds everyone of the kit of the late sixties. Please do not encourage the club to return to blue socks as we look like Leicester City. In my opinion the white socks make us instantly recognisable and hold with a style and tradition that all Evertonians associate with. I think that the badge could do with re-designing as well. Why do the club insist on writing Everton under the badge? People don't need to be lazily told what club we are by reading it....the badge and, crucially, the motto should tell them. Regards. Luke Skelhorn. (26/01/06) * Quality, I love it! Any chance of getting Hafnia to sponsor us next season? Barry Murphy. (26/01/06) * White socks needed. Lee Spargo. (26/01/06) * Is this really the new design or just up for suggestion? If it's real I think it's great and will sell loads, lets push for it to be produced. Great site, keep it going. Blue 4 ever. Anne. (26/01/06) * Love the new shirt on El Spud, but the collars not right, and please everton get the message, we play in WHITE SOCKS, Ps, is there anyone else out there pissed off with the yellow ball. Great site, Birchy St. Helens. (26/01/06) * Nice idea, but Everton should wear white socks. I don't want to be associated with nothing clubs like Ipswich and Leicester. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum. Chris. (26/01/06) * EXCELLENT - nuff said! Kris. (26/01/06) * If this is the new kit for next season then its a good choice. Better than some of the kits we have had of late. Baz. (26/01/06) * Nice pictures, but as I understand it umbro will no longer be EFC's kit manufacturer from next year as they are ceasing that area of their operation. Chelsea and Everton being their only remaining premiership clubs. Maybe someone could clarify this issue. Mick Smith. (26/01/06) * Narrr I don't like the kit. Shabbalad. (26/01/06) * Looks fine EXCEPT got to have WHITE socks, Keep the faith. Paula. (26/01/06) * Brill, suggest you get a fan's poll and send the results direct to Umbro. Steve Hogan. (26/01/06) * That’s f*cking horrible. If the club seriously think the fans want umbro pasted down the sides of the sleeves and shorts they’ve got no idea what so ever. The home one we have at the moment is pretty much spot on. Why do we have to go and keep changing it every year. Stick to simple Royal Blue and white. No fancy patterns. Danny, St Helens. (26/01/06) * To be honest with ya lads, I don't like the classic umbro style sleeves. It looked good in the 90's but we're in the millennium now and need to keep it up to date. I reckon we should have white and yellow stripes going down the sleeves instead. From Danny. (26/01/06) * Kit looks great. Brings back memories when I was ball boy in late 70s & early 80s. Duncan Mc, Ronnie Goodlass, the Peter Eastoe, Alan 'bad hair' Biley? Stephen Woods. (26/01/06) * New kit looks OK, we play in white socks at home not blue, blue socks were only ever worn to avoid a colour clash. Keep the white socks, We are Everton not Birmingham or Ipswich. Dave Taylor. (24/01/06) * As long as it's Royal Blue I couldn't care less what the kit looks like!!! Unless Peter Johnson gets his mits on the design and re-uses the unsold jerseys that where light Blue in the mid-90's with the crappy felt one2one logo!! Ian 'Everton' Taylor. (24/01/06) * Why do we keep going back to blue socks. We look better in white and have traditionally played better when these socks were worn. Change it before it is too late. Colin. (24/01/06) *
i hated it then - and i still hate it now. Umbro treated
us like shit a few years ago....now we advertise them all the way down
our shirt and shorts. Truly awful.... BLUE SOX NO!!!!! ASTRO.
(24/01/06) *
argh sh, cant believe were going back to the blue shirt, white
shorts"blue socks", iv always thought the mighty blues are
better with the white socks...... BRING BACK THE SAMLON AWAY KIT!
sean fahy- leicester. (24/01/06) * Oh yes, the kit looks nice, but why are we having new kits every season? It's more money us fans have to folk out again and again. Aren't we getting like united used to be with their kit every season? Darren Hyland. (24/01/06) * I think the new kit looks great. Joan Fallon. (24/01/06) * Get rid of the Umbro stuff and the Chang advert and it will look just fine. The (Exiled) Duke of Bootle. (24/01/06) *
god please tell me its just a wind up. if that was really
our kit for next season id cry coz its sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
shit and * I defo don't like the kit , sorry :( Margaret. (23/01/06) * First of all Great site lads, got set it as homepage! Sad I know really but I am obsessed with all things Everton. The new design for next years kit is great, I remember fondly that era, Bob Latchford being my ultimate blue (after Dixie but I'm too young for him!!). What I would give for a forward like him now! All the best with the site, COYB! Regards, Dave Hewitt. (23/01/06) * Fantastic design would defo buy this one which I haven't for the previous few kits. Get this design to the club asap. Ste Rimmer. (23/01/06) * I look the new kit keeps the tradition of the club whilst also coming away from the current design giving the fans value for money knowing they are not just buying a new kit with one change which needs to be pointed out to be seen.mA big change from the current style i like it a lot. Days of Bob latchford and Andy king coming flooding back. Colin Bell. (23/01/06) * New kit looks great, just wish we had kept the white socks. Kev. (23/01/06) * IF THIS IS THE NEW KIT THEN PUT ME DOWN FOR ONE!! I CAN BE BOB LATCHFORD ALL OVER AGAIN AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 37! LOOKS GREAT TO ME. STEVE. PARKEND. (23/01/06) * Kits quite nice BUT.. For the benefit of anybody who's gonna produce an Everton kit.....WHITE socks please!! Sheffield Blue. (23/01/06) * Sorry don't like it at all. leave the sleeves blue!! Alice & Budge. (23/01/06) * Is this defo the new kit or just a made up 1? It looks good whatever the way. Maybe going back to the classic kit cos were moving stadiums? Who knows. Joe. (23/01/06) * Nice pictures but as i understand it umbro will no longer be efcs kit manufacturer from next year as they are ceasing that area of their operation. chelsea and everton being their only remaining premiership clubs. maybe someone could clarify this issue. Mick Smith. (23/01/06) * It's great but they could have done something more futuristic to it. Strange. Harry J. (23/01/06) |
