New Kit Delayed

Everton announced today that the new 2008/09 kit hundreds of kids are waiting to get their hands on this Thursday 10th July 2008 will now not be available until Thursday 24th July 2008. A full 14 days late.

Club spokesman Ian Ross says: “We have been working closely with supplier JJB and manufacturer Umbro to attempt to minimise the disruption since being made aware of the issue. It is deeply unfortunate that this situation has occurred but the distribution issues have simply meant the merchandise would not be in the UK in time for its original launch date. Umbro have apologised to the Club for the inconvenience this causes our supporters and together with JJB and Everton will be doing all in their power to ensure the kit launch does not experience any further problems." * Why are Everton so useless off the pitch? Kit Delayed It should be out 1st week in June not last week in July. We should give jobs to local school kids. They could do a better job. I always used to defend Bill Kenwright and the board because they have always tried to back Moyesy and do the best for the club as again they were born BLUES, but I have now lost all patience with them and our so call marketing department

I read that the new kit was to be delayed on the website on Tuesday and was disgusted (had too tone it down). I not only had too tell my Alcoholic son (he is only 15 mths old) that he wont have the same shirt as his dad because he cant control his habit, but that he will have to wait another two weeks to receive the same kit as last year.

More depressing than that was on the drive home from work on Wednesday when the shite were advertising the release of their away shirt, thats right I said AWAY shirt on the 17th July. I my calculations are correct that means they will have released TWO kits before we have even released one.

My niece unfortunatly has been born on the Dark Side, with her birthday coming up I had to take my mum to buy her the new Shite home shirt and it was the only time I have ever been envious of what they have. Their clothing and accessories range is at least 10 times better than the shit that we have in our shop. We went in our shop in order to purchase something for my son to be told that the new kids range is not out till mid July, something again which seems to be well planned.

After having worked at JJB and seeing all the shit that they put on the selves, I can understand where it all comes from. JJB and Bumbro have a close working relationship, so if we get rid of one the other will follow. * I've been an Evertonian my whole life and not once can I remember the blues producing anything near the quality of marketing that the shite demonstrate every season. It's extremely frustrating that once again we have provided the rest of the prem' with ammo to hammer us with.

I mean it doesn't take a marketing genius to realise that launching your kit on the last home game of the season makes complete sense (umbro did this for the cup final in '89 so what's changed), instead we are subjected to weeks of waiting during the summer when the kids love to show off their kits on holidays. Is anyone else getting fed up of being continually bettered on the commercial front by not only the shite but from most of the premiership, we deserve a lot better. Robbie Davies from Prenton. * Hi to everybody at the worlds GREATEST Everton Fans website!! I am totally incensed at the rather delayed home kit as happens twice per annum with the rather crap Umbro and pie eating Dave Whelan company trading as JJB.

Firstly a club with our heritage and rich history should experience no problems in supplying its fans with replica kits. But this problem seems to occur with EVERY kit launch. Secondly, Umbro are shit. They are Primark to the Red Shites Adidas or Manures Nike which is Gucci. Lack of stock available at regional JJB stores. Every kit looks unsurprisingly like the last. Our kit always looks like Brums or in years gone by, Chelski. Even Abromavich paid to get rid of Umbro due to it being a sad, faceless and predictable design!!!

If our kit was on sale last month like manures or the red shite, we could be selling these and making a PROFIT. A profit??? Yes, raise some capitol to invest in the team. This would also allow our fans to wear their shirts on their holidays........ I have only done that once in the last ten years..........what name did i put on it?? JJB ran out of letters(true fact), E and Y so I had to settle for number 18 and ROONALDO......which I thought was cool at the time........and the early kit supplier???? The much more hip and cool PUMA. And when did i purchase that shirt??? Middle of may....... so there you go, It can be done, and should be done every year.........ah well......will Tesco Bill and Bully ever learn...I doubt it.....I just thought I would suggest an idea to make some money for our great team. My final idea is one i have pinched off Villa. If our kids kits are going to have a blank space where Chang once lived, should we donate the space to a charity such as Alder Hey or macmillan nurses. * What the hell is going on with the new kit? We were weeks behind the alleged Big 4 with our kit release in the first place, which doesn't bother me that much as I won't wear the replica shirts (I prefer to leave that to the idiots who come from far flung lands to watch the shite) but my son is heart broken. It's bad enough for him having to go to his club training and see all his little mates running round in the shite's new kit and he's still in his 07/08 Everton kit; but then to have the new kit delayed for another 2 weeks with only 24 hours notice is unforgivable.

Does anyone know what's gone wrong this time? My money is on the kids kits having the Chang logo put on accidentally in the factory. It was bad enough all those years ago when we released thousands of the salmon pink and navy blue striped shirts with the motto spelled wrong. * Just got back from our Mega(?)stoe. What a disgrace it really is. Tons of nothing in. As if that wasn't bad enough, JJB have the cheek to have the new kit to greet you on the way in...after letting us know that 'your not getting it for another 2 weeks!'. What do I tell my young 9yr old this time? I say 'this time' because last years pre-order turned up nearly 2 weeks late, due to a 'COMPUTER FAILURE AT THE DISTRIBUTION CENTRE IN WIGAN'. Along with around another 249 unlucky, cash up front punters/fans. On top of all this we've still signed Fuck All. JJB are SHITE, UMBRO are SHITE. JJB spend an enormous amount of their time and space on them Norwegians/Welsh/Foreigners/Glory hunters* (*delete as applicable...if u can) over the park, so when is that arse Wyness gonna fuck em' off? This club is a shambles. It's a good job I was born Blue and not manufactured cos my patience is quickly running out. Regards to all @Kipper.
