The New Home Kit Revealed Today

The new Everton home kit is available to pre-order online or in person from the Megastore from 9.00am Friday 6th June 2008. If you pre-order you will receive the kit on Wednesday 9th July 2008. The new kit will then be available from the Everton Megastore and JJB stores from 10th July 2008.

Everton's new home kit features a number of state-of-the-art innovations in kit design. The shirt is anatomically cut in order to emphasise the athleticism of the player, incorporates a trilogy back panel developed to include a zonal bodymap mesh design and a twill mesh body fabric that makes the shirt lightweight and breathable.

The shirt is Royal Blue. The shorts are white and the socks are white with Royal Blue tops.

Phil Neville says: "We all like to look the part on the pitch in terms of the kit and the boots we wear. This kit is really nice and I am sure the fans will enjoy wearing it.

"Our fans are great in terms of the numbers of them who wear the shirt and it looks great on a matchday. It would be nice to have a lot of success in this kit.

"Our aim is to do well and it would be great to enjoy wearing this kit up and down the country and in Europe for this great club next season." (05/06/08)

What The Fans Think Of The New Kit      New Kit Delayed

* Personally, I don't see the changes and agree that it is a bit of a rip off.....BUT...you cant moan about kit sales if you want us to compete in the transfer market. Shirt sales generate revenue and without it we are screwed with transfers. These same people moan about ticket prices and yet demand big transfers every year. If you want to mess with the big boys, that's life, pay up!!!! Alex Carew. (20/06/08)

* At first glance the new kit looks okay. Very similar to the last seasons kit but a bit more traditional with no yellow bits in it. I won't be buying it myself however, I prefer to leave the wearing of replica kits to the kids and all the whoppas who come over from Scandinavia and Ireland to support the shite. (Have you ever seen Walton Breck Road on match day at analfield? You can't move for foreign talking beauts in replica noddy shirts, all claiming to of supported the shite since birth but in their first trip to analfield). I will however get the kit for my son so he can spread the gospel in Greece on our holidays. Myself, I prefer to let my club crest tattoo do the talking. Branded for life and it can't ever be taken away from me. Nil satis Nisi Optimum. A. Almond. (20/06/08)

* I think it looks great, you can't beat a blue shirt with that badge on it, how can it fail to please, I love it. Andy Shone,
Auckland, New Zealand. (20/06/08)

* The Celtic kit is made by Nike not Umbro. Umbro was bought by Nike but the designs are completely different if you bother to look on the website. Some of us fans like to have a new kit each season and don't mind there only being a small difference from the previous seasons. So stop bleating, you don't have to buy one. It's called freedom of choice. A. Horabin. (20/06/08)

* I think the new kit looks just ok but we have to remember that a year is probably a long time in the advancement of sportswear materials and fabrics so if the new kit gives the lads any sort of advantage on the pitch then great even if it means sacrificing a bit of style. Buying a new kit each season isn't a rip off either considering how much most people pay a year on Cd's and the like. Derek In Dublin. (20/06/08)

* Just a few thoughts on the new kit. There is only so much you can do with a blue shirt, that's fair enough, but can we please have a bit of creativity and not just look like where recycling old kits from the previous 3-4 years. When will the board realise the stupidity of having a retail tie in with JJB, The same JJB who along with UMBRO (our beloved kit suppliers!) where found guilty off ripping off footbalL fans by keeping shirts prices artificially high. I have also heard although am not sure if its true that JJB is stakeholder in Umbro (or vice versa), if this is true then it looks like where stuck with Umbro while were tied in with JJB !

We need a new kit supplier desperately in order to re launch ourselves, I mean even Fulham have Nike and even Derby managed to get Adidas, and you can guarantee that of the top 6 in the league this season we are more than likely the team with the worst commercial deal from our kit suppliers (1st manure, 3rd the arse, 6th Villa all Nike, 2nd Chelski and 4th redshite both Adidas) anyone else see a pattern emerging? Having said that i will almost certainly still buy the shirts so I can spread the word about our beloved blues on me summer jollies! Love the site keep up the good work. Michael Begley. (20/06/08)

*
What a joke, a few yellow lines gone and a little quote and it's considered 'brand new', I'm gonna just buy a retro shirt from somewhere I think, at least I won't need a new one every season. Kev Pierce. (20/06/08)

* Very similar to previous years. Why can't the collar just be normal round or v neck instead of this messy 'collar effect'? I would love if Everton played in allblue (say homes games in europe). Mick. Dunleer. (that's in Ireland!). (20/06/08)

* My kids will be made up but to save some money I'm going to cut off the little yellow bit, sorted,f**k off umbro. Edwin Bridgeman. (20/06/08)

* New Home shirt looks the same as did last few years. Ian. (20/06/08)

* I can't believe how we can have a new kit every season and do the slightest of changes to it. The only differences is that there is no yellow on the collar, the collar is one of those ones made to look like a collar which is actually just coloured in. also the diamonds have moved from the shoulder to the bottom of the sleeves! not much change there! I'm hoping that the 3rd shirt will be better. The away one is ok that's the one I'll probably buy. George Farr, Chelmsford. (11/06/08).

* Everton's new home kit features a number of state-of-the-art innovations in kit design. we managed to change a bit of colour in the hope that you would all really be RS fans that don't know pink from blue. come on umbro/everton, get into gear. if we want to challenge top four and stay in europe we have to look the part and not look like a farmer at a rave. all that matters is that its blue but get a grip!! COYB. Paul Morrison. (11/06/08).

* Disappointed looks like all the other ones from the past few seasons , but i will probably buy it any way
great site COYB! Lee Williams. (11/06/08).

* Congratulations on the new Everton home shirt. Classic Royal Blue with a great touch of white. Top class there Umbro !!! I will buy it, but the shirt should have been out earlier in the Summer. Will look great at Goodison & in Europe next Season. Great site, keep up the good work & Come On you Blues !!! Stewart MacLaren (11/06/08).

* WHAT A RIP OFF , SAME AS THE LAST 4 YEARS KITS , I KNOW YOU CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH WITH A BLUE TOP AN EVERTON BADGE,UMBRO SIGN AND THE CHANG LOGO BUT THEY SHOULD BE BROUGHT OUT EVERY 2 YEARS NOT EVERY SEASON WHICH SEAMS TO HAVE BECOME THE TREND ! ALL THE TOP CLUBS HAVE EITHER NIKE OR ADIDAS SO WHY ARE WE STUCK WITH UMBRO ?? EVEN SOUTHEND AND MORCOMBE ARE MADE BY NIKE. COME ON BLUES SORT IT OUT. FOZ IN AIGBURTH. (11/06/08)

* I am flabbergasted at Everton and the new kit. There is very little difference to the previous kits and I bet it will be the same as all the other Umbro Premier League kits (Blackburn, West Ham etc) but just a different colour. Why do they leave it so late, half the summer is over. I am waiting for the 2nd & 3rd kit to come out to see if it is a bit more unique, but I bet that will not be until August, when the summer is nearly over and I have lost the opportunity to spread the Everton name across Europe on my holidays. The biggest thing I am annoyed about is the loss of Chang on the children's kits. The kids want to look like the players, that's why they are called 'Replica Kits'. You may as well go and buy a T shirt, it will look the same but be half the price. Why did Everton not put this to the vote or give you the option to have it stuck on in the shop. We are the first Premier League club to make this step, that may be because all the other clubs have got more sense. Gary, Crosby. (11/06/08)

* My kids will be made up but to save some money I'm going to cut off the little yellow bit, sorted, f**k off umbro. Edwin Bridgeman. (11/06/08)

* With regards to Sean (08/06/08), yes I know of at least 1 other kit that has 'it's a grand old team to play for' printed on. Celtic sing that song too and Umbro make their 'exclusive' shirts! I imagine they thought we were so far apart no-one would notice!! A bit disappointed in the shirt as I thought the last one was pretty good and this one looks less detailed. I will however buy it as its just another donation to the club I love.. Dan Goodman (Samsonite Blue). (11/06/08)

* "..cut to emphasise the athleticism of the player". Thank F... Rhino left some years ago. Paul F. (11/06/08)

* New season, new kit. What a yawn! Am i gonna fall for this scam again, no chance! The kits have been crap for years. Simon Thomas. (11/06/08)

* A traditional Everton home shirt. Same as the last few years though. As bully bull-shiter has sold everything we had. Everton FC probably have no say on the kit at all. Mort. (11/06/08)

* "Anatomically cut to emphasise the athleticism of the player". Because of course, we in the stands, buying the replica kit, all have perfectly defined torsos, rather than beer bellies and paunches as previously suspected. Still buy it though. Rhys Williams. (08/06/08)

* Did somebody just cut the yellow bit off all the unsold kits from last season, its a bit disappointing but i will still be buying it for my two kids however I'm a bit pissed they haven't given me a choice as to whether id like the sponsor on my kids tops as surely that's our right to decide as i don't think its going to make my 1 year old or 3 year old turn to the bottle. cheers and keep up the good work. COYB. Gary Sco. (08/06/08)

* Well, it's hardly revolutionary in it's appearance - isn't it almost identical to the last couple?? I'm not a big fan of Umbra kits, let's try someone like Adidas or Nike... It would be interesting to know if Umbro has copy pasted the 'grand old team to play for' onto other Umbro shirts (maybe with a slightly different slogan). Why didn't we play in it at the last game of the season like every other club!! Typical Everton - I'm not going to buy it. Sean. (08/06/08)

* Why is it we seem to have had more kit's than anybody and no Evertonians complain??? I mean if United did the same they would get loads - looks completely the same as the last two seasons!!! Karl Rowlands. (08/06/08)

* "The shirt is anatomically cut in order to emphasise the athleticism of the player, incorporates a trilogy back panel developed to include a zonal bodymap mesh design and a twill mesh body fabric that makes the shirt lightweight and breathable." What they actually mean, is.....'its 40 quid, get your hands in your pockets' It's still virtually the same as last years.... You've had your season ticket renewal money, but you ain't getting a penny off me for this.... Piss poor effort UMBRO.J. Cannon. Disgusted of Lower Gwladys. (08/06/08)

* Why oh why do we have this Fukin shite every season. I Knew we should have stayed with PUMA!!!!!!!!! John Ellison. (08/06/08)

* Rubbish. Looks like the one we had 3 seasons ago, the one we got battered in the Uefa Cup after being cheated out of the Champions League. Not a fan, not gona buy it. Hope the away one is better and a return to yellow and blue would be welcome. Imran Malik . (08/06/08)

* Great kit, just a shame I have the previous 3 seasons tops hanging up in my wardrobe - hard to tell the difference with any of them. Can we not get Laurence Lleyewn Bowen on the case. Justin Fielding. (08/06/08)

* Same old umbro crap. Why cant we have nike or adidas. Neil Povall. (06/06/08)

* The kit is fine, but we are getting as bad as the RS for bringing out new kits every five minutes...... Wezzo. (06/06/08)

* I don't mind the look of the new kit, but it looks extremely similar to the last 2 seasons shirts, so doubt i'll be buying it this year, i thought we were finally going to be keeping a shirt for more than one season for a change. Great site though and keep up the Excellent work. Gareth. (06/06/08)

* Love it. It's Royal Blue. Love the 60's socks. Willie. . (06/06/08)

* Not to dis-similar from last season's kit. I will still buy it, Its pretty typical of everton though to bring it out half way through summer. Chris Mc. (06/06/08)

* Defo buying it when it comes out. Paul . (05/06/08)

* Looks good, but why have we got to wait until the Summer is half over before we get it. Mary. (05/06/08)
