(14/10/04) Everton play the second derby game of the season at Poulton Vics FC in Wallasey 2.00pm kick-off this wednesday, hoping to keep their unbeaten league tag and stay top of the league. Despite getting knocked out of the Cup by Bristol Rovers on Sunday, Everton manager, Mo Marley is looking for a good response from her players. Mo says: “We will have to show we have bouncebackability in Wednesday’s derby.” (12/10/04) Everton Ladies have taken the league by storm this season and are currently top of the table. Managed by former England International Mo Marley and coached by Keith Marley and Phil Hackney, Everton hope to continue their unbeaten run in the league in the derby game on Wednesday @ Poulton Vics FC, Wallasey. The team success has brought the players individual rewards. Kelly McDougall was Nationwide Player of The Month for August. Rachell Unitt, Jody Handley, Kelly McDougall, Fara Williams and Lindsay Johnson, have all picked up England caps this season. Manager Mo Marley says: “The new players have fitted in as though they have played for us for along time. It’s pleasing that the goals were scored from all departments and a mixture of set plays and general play. It takes the pressure of the centre forwards when the goals are spread. It’s nice to be top of the League table today. The last time we were ever top we won the League!" Everton Under 10's A 4-0 Brazil Girls Our nine year olds had a tough game this weekend against a very determined and hard working Brazil girls who got a lot of bodies behind the ball and worked very hard. Suzanne Baker scored two excellent goals after her hat trick last week (reported wrongly - sorry) and Ellie Gray and Connie Panayi got the other two. Both Connie and Suzanne were the outstanding players in this game, Caroline Lambert has still not let a goal in so far this season ! Everton under 10's B 5-0 Birkdale The eight year olds are still unbeaten and are beating teams we never expected to get results against. Shannon Doherty scored two in a fine display that won her the girl of the game award, Amy Rawcliffe, Lucy Littlemore and Gemma Cheeseman scored the other goals. Another clean sheet for Faye McDonnell who had the last 10 mins playing out !!!! Everton Under 14's 8-0 Bolton The 14's produced their best display of the season so far with a much more balanced and aggressive performance. Tess Langdon got a hat trick with the pick of her bunch a great header from an inswinging corner. Tony Duggan scored another two good goals in a fine performance whilst Lorna Smith, Amy Cleaver, and Steph Marsh rounded up the scoring. Jenny Toole won the girl of the game award for her endless running. Everton Under 16's 17 -0 Rishton Utd It is always hard for a new team in their early days and a brand new side called Rishton Utd. had the difficult task of conquering the the u16s at Bootle Stadium on Saturday. In a very one sided game , the Blues controlled the game from start to finish playing some nice football against a team new to 11 a side football . It is hard to report on as it was so one sided apart from saying Rishton never gave up and they only had 1 shot at goal. A pleasing point for the E verton coaches is that the goals came from across the team. The scorers were Michelle Hinnigan 4, Alice Brown 3, Stacey McMahon, Franny Williams, Micha Dean, & Carmel Bennett each got 2. Lauren Mitchell & Sarah Weir each got 1. Everton St Domingoes (A Team) 1-4 Burnley After
83 minutes the score was 1-1 in a game dominated by Everton and we
should of been 3 up within 30 minutes as time and time again we ripped
through the Burnley defence only to miss several great chances to
put the game beyond reach. Burnley made it 3-1 with only minutes to
go and Everton got a penalty that was missed, only for Burnley to
make it 4-1 from the re-start. It was amazing to lose a game when
we had taken the game to Burnley for so much of the game. However
our girls played some great football. Louise Rogers was the girl of
the game. What do you think? e-mail bluekipper.com |
