The u12's A team play in both the Liverpool League on a Saturday and
the Lancashire League on a Sunday. Currently 3rd in the Liverpool league
(with games in hand on all above them including Liverpool) they played
Mossley Hill "A" on Sat and beat them *
The
U14's travelled to Wigan on a cold morning and never really warmed up.
However, they where always in control and as with last weeks cup game
the Blue's two keeper's hardly touched the ball. The u14's had so much
possesion the 6-0 score truly flattered Wigan. The Blue's opener came
from the hard working Rachael Dunlop who latched onto a through ball
for 1-0. Soon after Cerian Jackson scored from close range 2-0. Everton
went further ahead with a well-taken goal from Kate Darby 3-0. Just
before the interval Faye McCoy got on the score sheet with the first
of her hat trick to give a half time score of 4-0. The second half was
much the same as the first with Everton pushing on and Wigan defending
for all they where worth. The Blue's completed the scoring with two
crackers from Faye McCoy. Player of the match was Amy Cleaver. *
The 'A' team
had a tough home fixture against a very useful Frodsham Rangers team
and did their promotion chances a power of good in their first campaign
in the NWWRFL league with a 4-1 win to go top of the league. The 'A'
team are a class outfit this season and took the game to Frodsham from
the start and totally dominated the Cheshire side in the first half
and led through a Nataleigh Cliff goal after a fine run by Anna Tinman,
player of the game Danielle Green scored a classic goal rounding the
keeper to make it 2-0. In the second half Frodsham snatched a shock
goal, but this spurred Everton to life, with Abi Freeborn having a fine
performance capping it with a goal before getting injured. Youngster
Shelly James came off the bench and blasted home a superb goal after
a great build-up, Gemma Morris had an excellent game at right back with
Vicky Jones also doing well at left back, but the front two of Danielle
Green and Nataleigh Cliff posed too many problems for the Frodsham defensive
line always lively and hungry for the ball and the pace of the Everton
attack's caused Frodsham's defence plenty of trouble. This is by far
and away the best 'A' team we have had in now our third year, and plenty
of the credit this season must go to new coach Darren Partington who
has brought all the girls on well this season in training and has shown
great enthusiasm and given plenty of encouragment to the girls in the
matches. What do you think? e-mail bluekipper.com |
