New Chang Site

Everton's partners in crime Chang Beer have launched a brand new website that's worth a look. It tells you all about Chang, how to drink Chang , and what to do with the empty bottles, creative ideas like making a bottle mountain, or maybe putting a love letter inside a bottle, or even seeing how many you can drink in five minutes (be responsible with drink please, like ourselves, narf, narf). Only kidding its worth a gander and if you give them some details, you may win a years free supply !!

You Owe Me £300k

Next weeks clash against manure will be even tastier after Moyesy slapper, sorry slapped a writ against ex Blue Wayne Rooney for 300 big ones (he can afford it). The writ is for remarks attributed to Wayne in his autobiography My Story So Far, claiming Moyesy had leaked info to the Merseyside Echo claiming that Rooney had visited some whore house. Not to worry we all have done that, oh shit what am I saying, sorry, I mean I thought it was a massage parlour, you know for my back. Crap the missus is about I'm off.

Apparently if Rooney does not settle the writ, its going to the big Judges in London to sort out, so this has some mileage in it yet me thinks. (20/04/07)

We Want To Talk To You

The Keep Everton in Our City Website have apparently been promised a meeting with Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright, after talking to him prior to the Fulham match on Good Friday. The Chairman rightly needs to answer some very hard questions from the fans over proposals for any ground move, or the feasibility of staying within the existing Goodison footprint. Every Evertonian worth his salt would love the club to stay in the Everton area, and rightly all possibilities need to be thoroughly researched and explained to the people who matter most, that's us the fans.

KEIOC Spokesman says: "As Mr Kenwright was getting out of his car we gave him a leaflet and he just walked away. We shouted ‘you can’t turn your back, you’re going to have to talk to us sometime’, and then he summoned me over. We put our case across and said we want him to sit down and consider the fans. I give Mr Kenwright his due, but I said to him that standing in a car park isn’t a meeting and we want an honest, open and transparent debate. He agreed to a meeting, we shook on it and he gave his word. Now it is imperative we get a series of meetings arranged as soon as possible." (10/04/07)

Keep Everton In Our City

A group of Everton fans have put a new website on the inter web, Keep Everton In Our City with an aim, they say is to show that a move to Kirkby is not the right kind of progress for Everton Football Club. They have been busy and have met local MP Marie Eagle, as well as get a quote from Big Dunc. (04/04/07)

Not Proven

The allegations of racist abuse against Newcastle United midfielder Emre have been deemed “not proven”.

The FA Disciplinary Commission says: "Having heard the evidence, and having regard to the standard of proof we were not satisfied the charge was proved."

It was alleged the Turkey international had used racially aggravated abusive and/or insulting words towards Joseph Yobo during Everton’s 3-0 win at Goodison in December. However, despite what Everton regarded as “overwhelming” evidence against Emre from Joleon Lescott, Tim Howard and Yobo, the Football Association decided not to discipline the Turkey international. New Mini Derby Date

The mini Derby has been re arranged for Wednesday 28th February over at the shite's reserve home ground Wrexham's Racecourse Ground. The original game was postponed due to a frozen pitch back in January, and if the first affair was anything to go by it will be another tasty one. It was a 1-1 back in October, but both clubs were fined in excess of £10k by the FA after Big Vic and Jerzy the Clown started a mass brawl as the Polish keeper took exception to one of Vic's challenges. Bring it on again. (12/02/07)

Sky Fan Zone

Exiled Huyton fella Micky Houghton will be once again commentating on the Everton v Reading game for the Fan Zone at Sky on Sunday. Micky who has also been on Soccer AM this season has never forgotten his roots as you can see there's peroxide everywhere. He has let us know that he will be flown down to London, picked up by a chauffeur driven danny so he can give it what for on the TV. If you can't make the match, tune into the Fan zone. (10/01/07)

Fixture Change

Martin Tyler, Andy Gray and co., have been up to their old tricks again, and have moved Everton's fixture away to Aston Villa to Monday 2nd April, from Saturday 31st March. Its ok for the big wigs at Sky to mess us around like this, but if I lose any points from my Fantasy Football Manager of The Month Award for March, there will be a claim going in, so be warned Rupert Bloody Murdoch. For £35 the said dad and lad, or daughter (you get the picture), can cheer on the Blues to hopefully three more home points.

Finished At Last

Kipper arrived back on Merseyside today and showed his medal off to one man and his dog on an open top bus around Aintree.

Kipper says:
"It was hard going and I'm aching all over, but it was a fantastic experience. I'd like to thank all those who have sponsored me and all the dolly birds from the Weston Spirit who kept me going. Also thanks to Davie Turner for keeping our training regime on track during the trip."

You can still sponsor Kipper by clicking here. (09/11/06)

We have just had it confirmed that our very own Kipper has just finished the New York Marathon after a full day of walking / jogging.

It was nip and tuck to the death, as to who would finish last, but Kipper just pipped Deep Sea Diver Man to cross the line in an admirable five hours and fifty seven minutes. Admirable for the fact that he never did any training, was on the grog six nights out of seven, lived on kebab meat and offal every weekend, so from your colleagues at bluekipper, well played, now can we have our money back.

In fairness Kipper, flew all the way to New York and went through 26 gruelling miles in aid of the Weston Spirit. His fund raising is still on going, so if you would like to donate now that he has finished you can at Kipper did not finish last.com

Kipper says: "Sod the water mate, give us a brown mild " (07/11/06)

Kipper Raising Money For Weston Spirit In New York City Marathon

Our very own Kipper will be pounding (literally) the streets of Manhattan this weekend, as he takes part in The New York City Marathon on Sunday, 5th November to raise money for Weston Spirit. He has been training hard over the past 6 months and hasn't had a pint since the Derby. Like all Evertonians, he's still high as a kite after the 3-0 win. As you can see from the photos below his training regime has been a big success.

WAGGY’S CHICAGO MARATHON

Evertonian

This Sunday, Everton legend, Dave Watson, is running in the Chicago Marathon. Waggy will be pounding the streets of the ‘Windy City’ to raise funds for the Lily Centre Breast Cancer Support Group. The Lily Centre, in Liverpool, is run by women who have themselves experienced breast cancer. They now give their time voluntarily to provide a pleasant environment for women to meet and gain emotional and physical support.

Waggy says: "I’m looking forward to the challenge. If you’re going to run a marathon then you may as well do it somewhere nice and it will be a great experience running through Chicago. I’ve always kept myself in decent condition but obviously I’ve increased my training in preparation for the race. I want to finish the course with a good time but the main thing is that I manage to raise some money for a very worthy cause. It’s a local charity and I would love some backing from anyone who wants to help out. Evertonians have always supported any charity work that the I’ve been involved with and this is a chance for them to do so again.”

Anyone who would like to sponsor Dave, in any way shape or form, should contact either the Lily Centre (thelilycentre@btopenworld.com) or the Everton Press Office at communications@evertonfc.com. (19/10/06)

Duncan Aussy Bound

Reports from Down Under suggest that Everton legend Duncan Ferguson may be heading out there this Winter to play for the Perth Glory in their National League.

Absolutely barking, what must Duncan be thinking off flying off to the sunshine, with all them beaches, leaving the frozen British Isles behind him, earning good money, 90 degrees of heat on his back, cold lager, barbie's every night, he must be off his trolley. Whose going to mind the pigeons Big Man!!

Perth Coach Ron Smith says: "I was asked whether we'd be interested in looking at Duncan as a guest player and I said 'yes I would' if it was right for both parties. All of a sudden that has turned into him being signed, sealed and delivered - someone has got it wrong somewhere." (17/10/06)

The Blues have been drawn against Everton old boy Mike Newell's Luton Town in the 3rd Round of The Carling Cup. The tie will be played in the week beginning of October 23rd. Other exciting ties include Doncaster v Wycombe, and Leeds v Southend.

Carling Cup Draw

The game at Posh will be "Live On Sky TV". Kick-Off: 7.45pm on Tuesday, 19th September 2006.

The Blues have been drawn against Barry Fry's Peterborough in this seasons League Cup. The tie will be played the week beginning 18th September 2006. Our ticket allocation will be for the Moyes end, a standing area. Bluekipper's mate Paul Carden is the midfield linchpin for Peterborough, and an Aintree lad like us five, so expect some hassle for two hundred or so tickets for the tie, cheers Paul.

For Blues wanting to suss out what the Second Division club are all about, switch to Sky One on Thursday evening to watch Big Ron Manager, when Ron Atkinson goes into the club to sort all the shite out, quality viewing. (27/08/06)

Baldism

All baldies around the globe are up in arms after Radio City, and Everton's resident DJ Simon Ross, was accused of baldist behaviour against Watford at the weekend. Bluekipper brought it to the worlds attention in our Off The Ball piece after the game, and Rossy is in deep doo doo with slap heads around the globe. Rossy announced that Harry Hill had scored the Blues opener, when in fact it was new boy Andy Johnson. Rossy is refuting claims that he said, 'well they all look the same to me.'

Ivan Nohair of the Bald Appreciation society is getting his wig in a twist however and he is demanding action in the shape of half price admittance for the next home game for any hirsute Toffee men or dare I say women. Rossy is unrepentant though, and will carry on his Everton duties, but we at bluekipper are demanding that Dave Lee Travis, the original big hairy monster, be brought in for a trial period, oh how we love the hairy one.

Rossy says: There's no point trying to keep it a secret, everyone in the ground heard it. I got confused because from a distance they both looked similar!"

Ivan Nohair says: Its a disgrace, we cant help it if our barnet's are thinning out, it is just discrimination, I implore all baldies of the world to unite" (22/08/06)

Cathy With husband Pete
on the banners at Goodison

Cathy Keig was named Everton Fan of the Year last night at the first official Everton Awards Evening. She received her award of a signed and framed Everton shirt from James Beattie.

Cathy says: "I have supported Everton for 50 years and I follow the team every week, home or away. I am really honoured to receive this award but I am pickin it up on behalf of all Evertonians. And it is lovely to know the fans are appreciated by the club. My favourite player was Brian Labone - he was my first hero so it is fitting to have received this now."

Cathy's daughter, Nikkie (one of the Blue Kipper mods) says: "I feel ashamed". (03/05/06)

Villa Back Off

Everton's reserve fixture at Aston Villa tonight, has been called off due to the Midlanders shitting themselves, when they saw Andy van, Jimmy Vaughan, Harry Hill and Nace were all due to start for our boys.

Villa said they did not want to play such a star studded rezzie side, as what could their rezzies do, against star studded opposition. Apparently the shitty rain in the Black Country has also had something to do with it. (07/03/06)

Wedding Bells

Congratulations to Andy & Debbie from all at Blue Kipper who are getting married in Mauritius today. Andy is a leading light with ESCWARA. Or so he said. Andy's other claim to fame was playing centre half for Toffeeweb when Blue Kipper beat them 6-0. The happy couple will be celebrating their marriage with family and friends in Widnes in February. (16/01/06)

Ticket Prices

The Blues have announced reduced ticket prices for Howard Kendall's Testimonial next week at Goodison. Everton take on Athletic Bilbao on Saturday 12th August, and big people get in for £15, and little people and wrinkly people for £5. The seating is unreserved so don't lose the plot is some strange fella' is sat in your season ticket seat, you should have got there earlier.

Get down to Goodison then, as Howard is donating a proportion of his Testimonial Cash to the Former Players Foundation. (02/08/06)

EXCLUSIVE - Kendall Testimonial

Howard is chuffed that his the team he managed out in Spain has agreed to play in the Testimonial.

Howie says: "Naturally it's an honour. I had so many happy years at Everton, most of them successful, as a player and as a manager.

Unfortunately that success didn't continue the last time, but I have had 17 wonderful years with the club and I have a great affection for the club.

When people refer to me as the most successful manager it is a great privilege because I worked for a great manager in Harry Catterick.

The only difference between us was that I achieved some European success. Unfortunately, although we won that one competition, we never got the chance to go on and see if we could achieve more.

Bilbao were more than willing to come over and that means a lot. I had a tremendous relationship with the club and the fans during my time there. We did have some success.

We were not a Barcelona or a Real Madrid but in relation to the club European qualification was deemed a great success." (30/06/06)

As told below earlier in the week, Howard Kendall will get his much deserved Testimonial when Everton play Athletico Bilbao on 12th August 2006. The proceeds going to Howard Kendall and the Everton Former Players' Foundation. (29/06/06)

Howard Kendall looks like he has finally got a Testimonial. Although details are not yet finalised, it's thought that Everton's most successful manager will get a testimonial against European opposition. The game will be held at Goodison the week before the season starts.

As Everton manager (1981-87) Howie won the league twice, the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners Cup, as well as the Charity shield on 3 occasions, once shared. Everton were also League Cup finalist in 1984. He came back to Goodison on two more occasions as manager in 1990-93 and 1997-98, but never won a trophy.

As a player (1967-74) he was part of the famous midfield Holy Trinity with Alan Ball and Colin Harvey, winning a League Champions medal in 1969/70. He was a FA Cup finalist in 1968. He played 272 times for Everton scoring 29 goals. (27/06/06)

Little Becky Phones Everton

Have any of you heard the young kid on the morning crew on Dublin's 98FM? Her name is Little Becky. She's 8 years of age and she rings up different places, hotels, magazines and so on and takes the pish. Anyway, she rang up Everton FC. I e-mailed the boys on the Morning crew asking for the clip and they have gladly e-mailed it to me. Click here to listen. Joe. (13/04/06)

50 Not Out

Bluekipper's good mate, Mike 'Smiffy' Smith, has turned 50 this weekend, and all the boys at the kipper would like to send him our best regards. Smiffy has been a season ticket holder in the Park End for 58yrs, and was his present when Dixie scored his sixty goals, great times he once told us.

Smiffy's interests are Richard and Judy, and he is a keen Crown Green Bowler, and has represented his street in several tournaments, although undoubtedly his greatest achievement was when he put thirty two fried eggs in his under crackers.

Happy Birthday, have a good day !!! (12/02/06)
