Even Lavo could not mess this one up, a game when we already know the winner, Everton.
The Chilean Everton tonight visit their true home as CD Everton of Chile take on the famous and mighty Everton FC, in a truly historic match.
This is not lost on the Chilean Captain and Goalkeeper Gustavo Dalsasso, who although excited at the prospect of running out at Goodison, is very aware of the history of our great club.
Gus said: "Everton are obviously a much stronger side than us but we will have to try and make that up with a greater level of application and concentration.
We've got an ambition to come over here and do well, pull together and try and get a result.
Obviously we want to get everything right and do as well as we can.
We are here to represent our club; a club that has got great relations with Everton in England. We are also representing our country.
Chile is regarded as the most English of South American countries.
There are a lot of English traits and customs in Chile. It is regarded as the little England of the South American continent so we want to do well here in the country that triggered all of that off."
CD Everton was the Champions of Chile back in 2008, and over 2,000 fans cheered them off at the airport for their historic match at Goodison Park.
The two Everton's will be playing for the inaugural Brotherhood Cup, so really Everton can't lose tonight.
CD Manager Nelson Acosta will also be a proud man as he leads his team out at Goodison Park after CD Everton celebrated their centenary year last year.
They were founded 101 years ago after a tour of Chile by the then Blues side.
CD Everton were established by a group of exiled Anglo-Chilean football supporters in 1909 in the port of Valparaiso, inspired by Everton's all-conquering tour of South America alongside a travelling Tottenham Hotspur side.
Nelson said: "This is an historic occasion for Everton Chile and the English Everton.
It is the first time a Chilean team has been invited at club level to come and play anywhere in Europe.
We will be the first to do it and we are very proud of that.
Over the years there have been links and similarities between the two clubs. It goes beyond the world of football. We are in the realms of cultural and historic links between the two countries; between our cities.
It is a great moment for us."
