Saha Goal Last Season
Saha Goal Last Season

Our Jack and Ossie are out of the Everton line up to play the arse.  They join Big Vic (remember him?) on the injury list.

David Moyes will now have to bring in players into the middle of the park. One will be club captain Phil Neville who has waited patiently to get another game. The skipper will be rearing to get stuck into one Mikel Arteta.

Hopefully Ross Barkley will get a chance to start in the middle of the park against a team who allow you to play, providing you have the ball. This is a perfect stage for young Ross to show the Everton fans what he can do.

Other options are Maggie, who came on as a late sub last week or Roy if he's fit. Moyesy may give Billy another chance.

The last dilemma is who to play upfront. If King Louie decides he's fit, expect him to start. Otherwise Tolis will be given another chance after an ineffective performance against the Stoke back five.

Moyesy said: "Unfortunately Jack Rodwell picked up a hamstring injury in training and Leon Osman looks to have a similar problem. He got that in last five minutes against Stoke and it looks like both will be missing.

"Maybe, with a bit of luck we will get Louis Saha back, but we will have to see how he is in training. But obviously the injuries to Jack and Ossie leave me a bit short in central midfield."

Kipper's starting XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Heitinga, Baines, Coleman, Barkley, Neville, Bilyaletadinov, Cahill, Vellios

It just shows the lack of real class in the middle (bar Barkleys potential) when we get a couple of injuries, not only do we need a new striker in January but a replacement for Arseteta. Shame as in the January sale people buy leftovers that nobody normally wanted before ! I think if Moyes adapts the Man City tactics and formation this afternoon he is a dead man walking, lets hope he sticks with Silky Feet (Moyes said Vellios has got silky feet, maybe he darns his socks ?) and give it a go, and Hibbert scores !

Peter Walton, I actually think we need to go back to the mid 90's against the Arse, nev and johnny kicking lumps, coleman and drethe out wide and Felli + 1 trying to punish their shite centre halves...

Jimmy B from New Zealand, what are you on about? If Rodwell was being sold, why was he brought on against Stoke? Moyes could see, like the rest of us that they were throwing masses of weight about, committing plenty of fouls. I highly doubt that you have the connections to know otherwise in the space of five days. Pipe down Jimmy B from New Zealand.......there's a good lad.

I am not usually a conspiracy theorist but has anyone noticed Rodwell is not playing much lately with little niggley injuries. Could it be with the window open in a couple of weeks he is already sold and they dont want to risk what for us (read the banks)would be a financial disaster

I'd love to see Billy or Ross in the middle, but it is Moyes at the end of the day so it'll likely be Nev or Johhny to come into the middle and I suspect we'll see Cahill as the lone striker

No disrespect to Moyes but our team seems to come into its self when injuries arrive! Maggie or Ross would be a massive improvement and if Moyes knows what’s good for us he’ll put Distan back in the squad! But he may surprise us all and throw in Mc Fadders in midfield! I would like to see 2 up front but we all know that that aint going to happen!

Sad to Osman is only out the team cause he's injured. He should be out the team cause he's shit.

You've forgotten about Fellaini. I presume you're not suggesting he should be dropped?

HaHaHa....Barkley to start!?!?...HaHaHa. That might actually give us a chance of playing some decent football. We all know Distin will be back at centre-half and Fellaini, Neville & Heitinga will be our midfield three.
