L from London,if u read what i said i'll think you'll see that i admit that even though Cahill was subbed for Neville that it was Fellini that was pushed up to take Cahills place.How can pushing a defensive midfielder up front be seen as anything other than negative when theres strikers on the bench,also why do we need a fucking holding player against Wigan.The starting formation was negative,flat back 4 with Fellaini sitting in front of them,then 4 across the middle and only 1 striker,even though Cahill is surpose to be getting up in surport as a second forward he hasnt done that in a long time and spends most of his time in our own half.So explain to me when the ball is played into the box theres only ever 1 player there and there nearest man is 20 yards away if we're playing an attacking line up.Its not only 1 match we been putting up with this shit for a long time now and if am in the wrong why are you the only person defending Moyes tactics.

@L, London.
Yes we understand what DM did, what we are saying is why didn't he replace Cahill with a striker? It's another negavtive move with a sprinkling of no ambition or balls.

Once again, for the slow ones on here, Neville didn't replace Cahill. Fellani did. Neville came on to take over Fellaini's job as a holding midfielder. It's not that difficult, Paul. Also the starting line-up was not negative. It's the one that nearly won us the FA Cup and got us into the later stages of the Europa League. It's the one that beat Man City, ffs. People need to get a bit of perspective. It's one match. If there hadn't been the craziest bobble of all time we would have won - even with 'shithouse' Moyes and a 'negative line up'. Some perspective please!

To not put on a striker for Cahill Moyes has lost his mind! Negative tactics...we had 3 defensive midfielders on what a great tactic against a shite team we should be bangin 4/5 past not scrappin an 83rd minute equaliser!

Still can not understand the Neville for Cahill sub. Its beyond me and Gibson was the worst player on the pitch.

L from London,the starting line up was negative anyway with only one striker and Cahill surpporting (even though he never gets in the box no more) so to then take him off to be replaced by a defender playing the holding role is negative and by the way Neville is the worst midfielder in the world.Yes Fellaini was pushed up but he is a holding or box to box player not creative,it was a shocking decision but only what we have come to expect from shithouse Moyes.If he isnt going to attack the worst team in the league when will he.

what a dire game, negative, negative. One up front against the worst team in the prem? Come on moysie, we want to see some footie and be entertained! How about a refund for the travelling 4000!!

Why do people keep misunderstanding the substitution? It wasn't as if Neville was replacing Cahill up front. Neville went into a holding midfield role - which he is very good at - and Felli went up front with Denis. Felli has scored loads of goals when he's played there before - and nearly scored very early on in the 2nd half - so it wasn't a defensive substitution at all. Sometimes I think half you lot watch the game on Teletext.

Neville for Cahill, when we've got Drenthe, Vic and Jelly on the bench is beyond sh&te.
My MOTM was Felli in the first half, until the poor sod gets pushed into a striker role to accomodate Neville in the midfield!!
My TitOTM was Captain Phil Neville. Cant pass, cant defend and is totally lost at sea in a midfield slot. When he reverted to defender when Hibbo came off and we finally went 442 to try and chase a game we should have got by the throat in the first half, he was skinned by their winger and reverted to hoofball when in possession. Utter embarassment and retirement cant come early enough.
Moyes' tactics are utter garbage. Neville on at halftime for Cahill killed off some neat first half passing and a good chance to win a game that was there for the taking. Like-for-like swap on 60 minutes again (AAGGGGHHH!!!). And only when we went 1 down did we do what we should have done from the kickoff and played a formation and players in the right positions to try and win the game.
Taxi for Moyes !!

Pienaar only a 7... seriously? Painfully obvious how much we've missed Peanuts yesterday. The club has got to pay his wages next season. Don't fully blame Howard for their goal...did you see that ball move! But on the other hand, a bit more aticipation and watching the spin of the ball might have helped. Jelly looks like he's got good control.
Gary, Amsterdam, 11:42 AM 5/02/2012

Howard a 5? There may have been spin on the ball but I was always taught you go to the ball, do't wait for it to come to you. He also flapped at a few crosses.
Moyes -1 is generous. There isn't another Everton fan out there that would have thought a good replacement for Cahill was Neville. Complete joke of a substitution. Negative tactics against the poorest team in the league. Pathetic. We pay our money, we want to be entertained and win games, not play out bore draws.

cahill should be minus 5, whenever the ball went anywhere near him, play broke down. but 451 again against the bottom club in the league and i think the lowest scorers, shithouse tactics from moyes
