A few changes as predicated, Felli was rested to the bench and Ossie was out of the squad with a calf injury. That meant that Phil Neville partnered Gibbo in the heart of the park with Maggie and Peanuts on the flanks.

It was Johnny's turn to take a rest at the back. Up front Tim supported the man made for goals Jellyfish.

Everton made a very comfortable start to the game. We were stroking the ball around in a confident swagger and even no real chances for both sides Everton were the team most likely to score,

Jags kept his place in the side and he was in for a tough game with the returning Grant Holt making a nuisance of himself.

It was Everton who started the scoring for the afternoon. And again it was Nikica JelaviƦ who was the man to put it in the sack for us. It was set up for him by Jags of all people. Jags done some nifty foot work before he flashed the ball across box and there was Jelly with the outside of his foot to put the Toffeemen one up.

Tim should have made it two a minute later. The ball ended up quickly on the right wing for Tony Hibbert to throw over a high cross. It beat the goalie but bounced off the inside of the bar and post and back into play. Tim Cahill was running in by the penalty spot and he just needed to make a clean connection and it was in. He didn't and his scuffed shot was easily saved by the grateful John Ruddy. That riot will happen one day Hibbo.

Everton were well in control but five minutes left in the half they let Norwich back in. The left winger Hoolahan had plenty of time to cross for Howson to put Norwich on level terms.

Half Time Norwich 1 Everton 1

A couple early changes for Everton saw Seamus on for the ineffective Maggie and Felli on for Phil Neville.

Norwich started the livelier side in the opening stages. Tim Howard had to make some decent and brave saves.

Even though Norwich started the better it was Everton who went into the lead again through that man Jelavic. Everton have found a goal scoring hero.

The lead up to the goal was a bit of a strange one. Peanuts was causing Norwich all sorts of problems during the game. This time he got the ball stuck in between his feet and the Norwich players seemed to wait for the ref to blow up and stop the game. But Felli got control of the ball and played on. He managed to play Peanuts in on left to cross for the Jellyman to finish in the far corner with his left peg.

Jelavic has a first class technique when he gets these chances. He doesn't lash at the ball but strokes the ball home. His work rate is exceptional and David Moyes has hit the jackpot with this fella.

I have to be honest I had my heart in my mouth when Felli looked to go over the top in a challenge. For one horrible minute I thought he was off, but thankfully he only got booked. The weird thing is he started to argue about it. I wouldn't play him on Monday. He has got a sending off in him.

Moyesy won't be too happy that we allowed Norwich to draw level for a second time. It was the big lump Grant Holt who got it. He was left on he own to beat Tim Howard.

The game ended on level terms and it was a game that we should have won considering we were a goal up on two occasions. Peanuts just pipped the goal machine for the Bluekipper starman. He was all over the show and showed us all what a great player he is. Let's just hope we can get him from Spurs on a permanent basis.

Sunderland is coming down for a game on Monday and it will be interesting to see what team Moyesy puts out for that one.

Any thought to playing Jags at right back with Buzz and Johnnie in the middle?? I wasn't sure with Johnnie but this year he's been great and having the three of them on the pitch might work?? Love Hibbo and Phil but have to have your best players on the park. Cahill?? If he scores its game over, he looks out of confidence. Agree with Seamus, would rather have Barkley come on but he doesn't seem to be in Moyes plans.

Didnt watch the game but a few people are saying the defending was shaky and tbh when i saw that Jags and Distin was paired together i thought we would be. For whatever reason, those two dont pair up well and either of the 2 play better and we defend better as a team when there in with Heitinga. Like Paul 3# says, i hope Moyesy isnt trying to worm Jags in to play him in the semi ahead of Heitinga or that would be criminal IMO, if your going to bring him in then bring him in for Distin but even he doesnt deserve to be dropped as him and Heitinga have been solid whilst Jags was out!. But after alls been said i think its a good point down there as you dont get an easy game at Norwich these days and hopefully we make some more changes and rest players ahead of Sunderland and beat them ahead of the semi and go into that breaming with confidence and fresh aswell!

Watched the game on the telly. The linesmans flag was up when Tim scuffed his chance.

Well, it wasn't a classic that is for sure. While forward play was quite OK - Jelly is really big lump of jelly, nobody can catch him! Anything else was terrible. Defending was suicidal. We should send Massive basket of sweets and a Six-pack to Mr Mariner for not sending off Baines.. twice. Leighton had definitively day off (although 30 years ago no-one would care about such tackles!). Made hash of quite few things. When we scored at one end, lads instantly shoot themselves in both foots on the other. To be honest I wouldn't mind draw vs Canaries with shite losing 0-1 to Villa, but now 2-2 is not too good. Norwich fought well. That 1 point guarantee them next season in EPL. Sunderland next, no bloody suspensions or red cards please! If we have to lose on Monday to win against RS, so be it!

I would have taken that results before the game.I was surprised Baines and Neville both started,Neville is 35 and i cant see him starting all 3 games so that means Baines isnt going to be rested. Not that i think a player in his mid twenties needs resting but how can you explain Heitinga being rested 3 times lately even though he's the same age and does a lot less running than Baines.I really hope Moyes isnt giving Jag games with the intention of him starting the semi,i like Jag but he's not the same no more.

Coleman just isn't good enough. He's a good championship player and nothing else. He was praised last season for his direct running which only ever relieved pressure but we all know that all our play and chances came down the left. He has never had an end product and now he doesn't even run at players. Not good enough I'm afraid unless we train him to be a full back (your thoughts)

We weren't at our best and we were a bit shaky at the back. Norwich earned their point though. They got at us and attacked with purpose. Thought Gueye was unlucky to come off unless he had a knock. My only 2 points though are why was Cahill kept on for so long. He was crap and missed an absolute sitter and 2nd and I've been worried all season by Coleman. The directness has gone out of his game. He just passes back now. He looks average now.
