Some interesting changes made from last week's nightmare. We saw Hibbo and Sylvain as full backs. That allowed Jags to partner Johnny in the middle

We had a five man midfield. Phil just in front of the back four and Gibbo and Felli in the middle with Peanuts and Ossie the wide men. The Jellyman operating as a lone striker.

Everton certainly got off to the better of the starts in the early stages and within the first five minutes had two decent chances.

It was sloppy play that allowed Gibbo to put a decent ball through to Jelly. He took his shot early on the right side of the box but his shot lacked a bit of clout and it was easily saved by peacock head.

Ossie was next to have a do on the right side but he screwed his shot wide.

We were doing ok. Felli was playing as far forward as he dared and he was causing United plenty of trouble in the air with his knock downs.

Sylvain Distin had a chance at the far post but he couldn't keep his header down. And then Gibbo had a 20 yarder that flew just wide.

Everton were definitely the better side and just past the half hour mark our play got its rewards. It was neat play on right across the pitch. Gibbo played it out to Hibbo who threw over a deep cross that went beyond the goal. But Jelly headed it back over the very thin goalkeeper into the far corner of the net. What a header by the Jellyman. The goal was thoroughly deserved. We were better team by far in the first half hour.

The lead lasted 10 minutes when United levelled through the player who used to play for Everton. It was a cross by Nani that just evaded Phil Neville and headed into the net to draw the game.

United 1 Everton 1

United came out with all guns blazing and with 15 minutes we were 3-1 down. The first one was a shot from outside the box from Wellbeck. In the lead Peanuts was injured but the play was allowed to go on. There was an incident in the first half that saw Mike Jones stop the play when Evans went down injured. Consistency my arse.

United's third goal was a killer. It was a short passing move that ended with Nani clipping it over Howard.

Ossie came off for Faddy. And it was Faddy who fed the ball on the right to Hibbo. He hit a first time cross that Felli hit an absolute cracker on the half volley that the goalie got a hand but still had enough on it to to cross the line. 3-2 with still nearly 30 minutes left.

Our hopes of a comeback faded when two minutes later United got the forth. It was a one two between Rooney and Welbeck , that was put into the net by The Evertonian.

Even though we were two down we still pushing forward and giving it a real go. And with eight minutes later incredibly we got a third

It was a ball clipped in from the middle of the park from Phil Neville towards Felli. The big man made a nuisance of himself with Evans and Ferdinand in the air. The ball broke to Jelly and what do you expect from him, it's in the net. Cool as you like he strokes it home. Unfuckinbelievable. We were going for it big time.

Moyesy put Tim on for Sylvain, Phil Neville went left back.

A minute later we were level. Oh my God and what a beauty it was. Phil Neville got the ball off Tim Cahill and played into Felli who was inside the box. He turned Evans inside out and played it in to the on rushing Steven Pienaar. He slid in and put into the sack. I actually couldn't believe what I was seeing. And I am sure a peed myself a bit. What an incredible effort from the lads.

We had a scare in the 94th minute when Rio hit a half volley but Tim made a worldy and got us the point we richly deserved.

This was some performance from Everton, led superbly by star man Marouane Fellaini. He was brilliant from start to finish. He was helped along the way by Peanuts and Jelly. But today's performance wasn't about individuals it was about a team who needed to get last week's nightmare out of their system. Well played lads.

United 4 Everton 4

Quality match report. Echo whats said below it was really refreshing to see Cahill and McFadden come off the bench and attack. One thing about Moyes, he learns from his mistakes. 2nd half at Wembley we needed that attacking injection McFadden can do for us what Bellamy does for Liverpool, stretch the game late on when teams are tired and give us good possession, high and wide up the pitch. Would love us to get Johnson/Jarvis to do the same job. Wishful thinking ? Lets attack Fulham, Stoke and Newcastle! COYB ETID

I have to say the same as Les (1). I was saying it might be time for Moyes to move on, but if he showed the spirit that he showed in the after match press conference and used either attacking or counter attacking football sometimes, Everton can match the best with their current squad. So well done Moyes and the boys! Fellaini has been in great form for a few months now and other teams may look at him, so we need to keep him and build around him. Let's keep the good league form up and finish above the shite.

Great match and a great result. It's the last time i'm going to Old Trafford though.. if you're over 6ft1 you'll come away with almost bleeding shins! The childs amount of legspace ruined it for me. Let's go for maximum points the rest of the season! COYB!

Mark (3) i don't think the goals were down to Johnny. Once again Jags went wandering for at least 2 of theirs. The first from Shrek, Jags is marking him and leaves him to follow scholes who is running away from goal out of the 6 yd box leaving shrek with Nev. The 2nd goal from him Welbeck is running away from goal towards the corner flag. Jags should have stuck with rooney and let Johnny catch up with welbeck. instead he goes charging out leaving Johnny miles behind rooney. Saying that, JH should have done much better with Wellbecks goal

We need to keep hold of Nuts. I'm doubling my lines in the Lotto and the Euromillions, coz if I win, I'll donate it towards keeping Nuts at Everton.

Well who could predict that? One thing is certain, if you did then by final whistle you were very rich man! With bets on 4-4 + shite going down to West Brom (Boing! Boing!) and City winning = odds ~9000:1. Honestly it wasn't a great game. All action was delivered in one giant lump every time. We scored and everything went quiet, then they scored 1st and then 2 after HT, and all went quiet for a while. We scored 2nd and immediately shoot ourselves in the foot with conceding 4th. There was nothing in the air, calm before the storm, and yet bang, bang, and there is 4-4 on the scoreboard. I got used to suffering at OT, I don't get too excited about those games. We scored 4 goals there and didn't won the game. I cannot believe that. Spoken in a calm reasonable way - call it OT trance. There were 3 bright stars in our side - Fellaini, Jelavic and Pienaar. Starting with Mr Pienaar, we know what to expect from him so it wasn't something spectacular. But Jelly Man and Afro, they bullied Mancs defense into submission. One thing we never did since that famous 3-0 mauling of Mancs in 1992. Anyway... With Shite losing, 4-4 draw feels like 6 points. Another proof in my theory that Dogleash only wants to win against us and nobody else. If we play this right shite could end below 10th and that will be joy to behold.

Clint Dempsey. Are you having a laugh? In all seriousness i'm worried about a couple of players leaving in the summer. Baines has just been named in PFA team of the year, it bound to stir up even more interest. Seems harsh but I think we should push to sell Rodwell. Gibson and Felli are pairing up well. Remember at the start of the season, we thought he would have something to prove...he hasn't cut the mustard for me. We could get top whack. Moyes and Kenwright need to do everything they can to hold on to Felli, Baines, Heitinga and Jelly.

I agree with mark a great comeback. Heitinga has been brilliant all year so don't be too hard on him !! We need a few signings next year alright. For me Dempsey, Adam Johnson from city and hold on to Pienaar. Sell Aniechebe and Rodwell to fund these sigings to bring us to the next level !!

What a turn around from last weeks mess! We were great today and all credit to the lads for not giving up when we were 4-2 down. Could've been easy to say well that's it we can't get nothing out of this game, but they didn't. They just kept on going and battling and did really well to get the draw. Credit to Davey Moyes also who got his tactics right so far better than last week. Also, what a signing Nikica Jelavic has been! Think after today that's 9 goals he's scored for us and he's not even been with us for a full season. I read somewhere that Slaven Bilic said that the best is yet to come from him and I totally agree! Well done Nikica and keep it up mate!

Have to disagree with you Mark,Heitinga was not our worst player.Osman was ok for the first 10 minutes but after that he was a waste of space.Excellent performance, let's have more of the same.

For years i have wanted Moyes to allow the team to express themselves attacking wise. It happened 2day and what a result. Ok, we only drew but 2 goals down on 2 occasions at OT, many teams would have folded but the boys believed in themselves and delivered. This is how u beat the so called 'bigger teams', not by holding out hoping for a 0-0 or 1-1. More of this next year please. I'd rather lose 4-3 than 1-0 and not turn up. After last week Moyes was dead to me but there is a glimmer of hope. Please be more poitive next year. As for Felliani 2day, unbelieveable. Take a bow son!

I said on your report after the semi-final defeat to the shite that all i wanted to see happen was for Everton 'to have a fucking go'. Well, that's exactly what we did today, never gave up & kept going until the very end. Faith restored. Fellaini outstanding (again) and Jellyfish makes a huge difference. COYB

A week in the life of an Evertonian ay...it's like an episode of Jeremy Kyle!! A great performance all round today and Fellaini rightfully named MOM but I think Captain Phil deserves a mention today he had a hand in a couple of the goals and made some good tackles and helped Distin out with Valencia by doubling up and when we went 4-2 down he was really trying to lift the players like a true leader, I think he knew we could get something out of the game. And in a week were there has been lots of talk about players cheating and diving, it was great to see him get up and jog away after shitbag Rio booted him hard from behind and he made no fuss of it whatsoever. A credit to Everton. Well done Phil, well done Davey - well done Blues!!

Well last week i was calling Moyes a coward after the inept tactics in the cup, this we week he was showing a bit of spine as the team went for it. Well done Davey Great fightback and lots of spirit, what a difference Pienaar makes when he supports Fellaini who was the best player on the pitch. Another good ball player in midfield and a rightsider and we could be going places....at last Onwards and upwards the Blues
