Jogger was chuffed to bits that he got the team correct for the first time since he supported the blues.

I have to be honest I like the set up. The team looks well balanced with Nev and Gibbo in the middle of the park. It allows Felli to play the free role and it's something he thrives on.

Newcastle started the brighter but Everton soon got into their stride. Felli had a great headed effort that just went over. And Everton after 15 minutes went one up.

It was Ossie that caused the trouble in the air, it dropped kindly for Felli who fed the ball to Peanuts. He let fly from outside the box. It got a deflection on the way into the net.

A Bainsey cross found Ossie on the right coming in. He managed to get it back across the goal and peanuts was waiting to pounce but his shot hit the post.

Everton were playing some lovely stuff that was obviously getting to Newcastle. At one point gobshite Cabaye looked to push a ballboy over trying the ball. I say pick on someone your own size but the prick is a little fart anyway.

Jela scored his usual goal after 25 minutes to emphasize their superiority. He broke clear of Colocini and hammered a shot that was well saved by Krul, but Jela wasn't finished he composed himself and volley the rebound into the net. We were on fire.

Gibbo has a couple of long shots as we completely dominated the half

Everton 2 Newcastle 0

Newcastle came out with a bit of fire in their belly in the early stages, but like the first half Tim didn't have a shot to save.

Just after the hour Everton got the third. And it came from everyone's hero. Here's Johnny. It was free kick taken by Gibbo that landed on Johnny's head totally unmarked on the six yard to power home. He was seriously chuffed to score and the fans reacted  by singing his name.

Johnny came off two minutes later for Sylvain to a standing ovation. Well played Johnny.

Some of us were up for a riot and Tony Hibbert nearly got us all going when he scored the four goal o had another couple of the game, unfortunately for all riot makers it was in his own sack. A long ball over top got Hibbo and Tim in a pickle and Hibbo headed it past the onrushing Tim.

Gibbo had another couple of potshots and Ossie hit the post in the dying.

Tim Cahill got sent off after the final whistle when he wanted to kill Cabaye for something. I hope we find out. Maybe the ball boys Dad had a word Tim to sort him out.

The team performance was brilliant and it was a very pleasing way to sign off the season. Let's hope we can start next season the way we've finished this one.

Excellent result and end to the season. Peanuts and Screech were great.....and we finished above the redshite. Ha! Well done lads! Wishes for next year, keep our best players and add 3 or 4 more good players to give us strength in depth and start next year as we finished this one! .... Oh! and to beat the redshite in all our fixtures with them next year, with Moyes making the correct team selection!

If Tiote is one of the most saught after midfielders in the league then were does that put Felli? Tiote wasnt given a minute by all of our midfield. Nev and Gibbo conducted proceedings while Peanuts and Felli played all the tunes. Pure School of Science!

I had to laugh at Pardew for suggesting before the game that Newcastle are in a different league to Everton. The only different league they are normally in is the Championship!

I was sitting quiet before the game. Our end of season performances weren't exactly vintage over past 20 years. Yet I was pleasantly surprised (after initial scare from Johnny) with how lads approached the game. There were some magical moments from Bainesy and Pienaar. Toons were nowhere. Refs were doing their best to spoil the day. Tony Hibbert, lad don't worry, nobody couldn't care less - at least you scored! :D And shite got humiliated at Swansea. Only drawback after yesterday is that QPR were not relegated *cough*Barton*cough*. OK, short break now with billion of stupid transfer rumors. I'm already prepared to endure yet another quiet transfer window and stuttering start of the campaign. [Sorry couldn't resist :P]

in the first half of this season i thought there was no hope for Everton, relegation form, in the last 14 weeks ive witnessed some of the best football in decades, really inspiring stuff, ive loved it, if only we had more belief on the big occassions, ive renewed my ticket for next season i just hope we start were we left off this season, and signing Pienaar is a must.

I'm glad I was wrong about that game. Newcastle weren't up to much but we played them off the park for most of the match. I just hope we can scrape some pennies together to reinforce the team. Trouble is we won't get any money until we sell somebody, even then the first surplus £5 million is needed to cover the automatic season loss Elstone has admitted. Never mind, if this Everton team can replace the golden oldies with some of the younger players (Duffy, Barkley) we'll have much better team than Newcastle can field. They've had a lot of luck this season and it won't be repeated next time out, they're just not that good.
