Happy Days
Happy Days

Are you ready? I said are you ready?

Well we are nearly there. We couldn't ask for a better game to start our Premiership campaign. A night game against Manure at home. We just have to win now. We will always remember the 1-0 win when Duncan scored a few years ago. What a night. Let's hope we can do it again.

What a match for new lad Kev Mirallas to watch. He will be able to suck in the atmosphere at Goodison in all its glory.

Who will be the players that will start the game? Well David Moyes has got a few decisions to make even though he is down on numbers. Good news is that everybody is fit. Gibbo and Felli have overcome their fitness problems and are raring to go.

David has to make decisions at the back and the in the middle of the park.  I think Hibbo will get the nod at right back. Jags and Johnny will start with Sylvain missing out.

I think Gibbo and Ossie will be in the middle of the park with Peanuts and Nace on the wings. And Felli will support Jela up front.

So Phil Neville to miss out then. I believe to have somebody like him on the bench is superb. He can fill in at most positions, he's David Moyes's comfort blanket.

It doesn't matter who plays. The players have got a great chance to get the season off to a great start. Come On You Blues.

David Moyes said: "I think we give our fans a boost as often as we can. Our supporters know that we'll go out there and play the best we can and we'll try and win, there's no doubt about that.

We'll make it as competitive as we have done over the years for Manchester United on Monday. So I don't think I need to tell my supporters we'll do our best, they know that.

I think the games when anyone plays against Manchester United are special and also I think playing at Goodison is special, so it's a great opening game for us.

You have to play every team twice in a season so it doesn't really matter when you get them. But I think to open the Premier League season at home is a good boost for everyone and I hope we can turn up and give them a show.

Everton from: Howard, Hibbert, Heitinga, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Neville, Gibson, Pienaar, Barkley, Fellaini, Osman, Naismith, Jelavic, Mucha, Francisco, Gueye, Vellios, Anichebe, Duffy, McAleny, Coleman.

Jogger's starting XI: Tim, Hibbo, Jags, Johnny, Bainsey, Nace, Gibbo, Ossie, Peanuts, Felli and Jela.

Do you agree with Jogger? What is your starting eleven?

Why do so many people under estimate Ossie?

I think there is a good chance Joggers XI might be right. Only possible changes I can see is if he wants to start Neville, even if its just for his leadership and commitment like 'that' tackle on Ronaldo. Also he may not want to throw Nace straight in with him coming back from injury. In which case perhaps Ossie might go on the right and Nace drop to the bench for Nev to come in at CM with Gibbo, allowing Felli to stay up top a bit more and also giving Gibbo licence to roam just a little further forward into 25-30 yard screamer territory. Perhaps maybe Distin in for Jags too. Ken in stourbridge I think you need to learn to count mate, jb named 11 starters in what looks like 442 (peanuts, felli, gibson and cisco in mid then Jelly and Nace up front, where are the three strikers?)

I agree with Brian, and I'm quite certain that Neville will be given a role, somewhere, tonight. Neville will get stuck in and make sure, as we have done to this lot in the past, that we are not intimidated by them.

Junior, Vellios, Barklay & Duffy wont be involved as they played the ressies match yesterday. I would like to see the team Jogger selected play but how often have we seen Neville fitted in where he does not belong, just to give him a game.

I hope Fellaini doesn't support Jelavic unless were chasing the game, he's far more valuable breaking the play up in centre midfield. I'd go - Howard, Hibbert, Jags, Heitinga, Baines, Coleman, Gibson, Fellaini, Pienaar, Naismith, Jelavic. I hope they have to play Carrick at the back too as he's useless in the air!!!

Gibbo - good news? Not in my book. Pace in midfield, please, where neither Scholes nor Carrick have any. Good news would be Ross Barclay starting... Come ON boys, kick their arrogant asses and let's get our season rolling right away!

Joggers team except Neville is nailed on RB AND CAPTAIN how is anyone here not choosing him and especially as it's against Utd, mad.

Agree with jb. If Marillas is as good as what they are saying then Osman better get used to bench warming.

I think Distin will be in ahead of Jags to deal with rvps turn of pace. Jags is better kept for the physical battles.
