David Moyes had quite a few decisions to make when picking the side. He went with Johnny at the back in place of Sylvain. Seamus went right back for the injured Hibbo. Felli supported big Vic upfront. Super Kev was given the chance on the right side of midfield.

Bryan Oviedo was on the bench that included Nace and Sylvain.

Everton flew out of the blocks with us getting three decent chances in the first three minutes. First Victor got his head onto a Bainsey free kick but his effort went straight at the goalie.

Then Kevin Mirallas had a shot and a header saved in quick succession.

We were really bossing the game and a goal would surely come. Swansea were passengers in the early stages and they should have been down to ten men as early as the twelfth minutes when Williams brought down Victor when clean through.

Victor was causing the Swans plenty of problems and he got his just rewards with his second goal in two games. A long ball was chested down by Felli in the box and helped on with maybe his arm. There was Vic to put his shot beyond Vorm. The goal was well deserved for some brilliant play.

Swansea tried to get back in the game but just five minutes before the half Everton got the second goal. A goal of the highest order.

It started in by our own corner flag. Phil Neville gave it to Seamus who in turn gave it to Felli by the half way line on the right. Felli put a cracker of a ball to Peanuts down the right wing who put a first time cross to the on rushing super Kev. He hit shot against Vorm and the ball deflected onto the bar. Super Kev followed up to head the rebound into the empty net. Pure heaven.

Tim made a great save right at the end to keep us two goals clear.

Half Time Swansea 0 Everton 2

Tim made another top save in the first couple of minutes of the second half. And I have to be honest I wasn't feeling good about things. The feelings didn't get any better when we really should have put the game to bed but wasted a great chance

A breakaway saw Vic give Felli a ball into the box. He was forced wide but managed to give the ball to Kev who crashed an effort against the bar. The rebound fell to Vic whose effort was saved by Vorm.

Everton received a lift when Dyer was sent off for a second yellow for a wild challenge on Bainsey.

Everton were creating big chances but still couldn't get the third. Vic fed Felli for him to lash over the bar. Then Felli had a header cleared off the line from a corner.

Another great move down the left between Bainsey and Peanuts ended with Victor hitting wide from Bainsey cross.  We really should have been out of sight. Six or seven would have been a fair score line.

Finally we got the third with eight minutes left. It was a lovely ball in from Bainsey that found Felli head. The ball deflected off a Swan back and the ball flew into the net. Relief all round.

Bryan Oviedo and Maggie came on late to get in the action

This was another impressive performance from an Everton team on top off its game. It is certainly exciting being an Evertonian at the mo.

There were some great individual performances. Felli gets the nod as Bluekipper Starman. When he is in the mood he is difficult to stop. And you have a feeling that Everton are going to be in for a great season. Well played lads.

It was great coming away from the Liberty Stadium feeling euphoric BUT we must not get carried away. The Baggies thrashed more or less the same team; we failed to bury the Magpies and even on Saturday we should have scored twice as many goals and sometimes still looked fragile at the back (all except Mr U.S.A) . Anyway its a great start and confidence is high.

I love Buzz but i'm so glad that Johnny got his game today and he did what he has done for a while now. Must be tough for a world class lad to sit games out so at least now he has his release and onwards and upwards as they say. COYB.
