Rod Belfitt - how were they robbed of a good goal? 1. it was never a foul on Gerrard, he simply did his dying swan collapse when Ossie brushed against him; 2. Coats was all over jags - a clear foul, and 3. Suarez (like Sterling) should not have been on the pitch at that time to get on the end of it. The only "luck" we got was that the latter two refereeing errors against us we're stopped from affecting the result by a linesman's error.

Went pretty much the way I thought it would with the midfield we had. Little or no protection for the central defence. It will be like that until we have our full midfield back. I would have thought ovoido instead of gueye for mirrales would have been better and I'd liked to have seen hitzlberger get a run. But it was tight at the end...
