Right. Let's get this stated up front. WE WERE SHITE!

No. Not 'SHITE'.

FUCKIN' SHITE!

Today we were outplayed by a team are in the relegation zone but will not go down. No, Blackburn Rovers will not go down because on the evidence on the pitch today (AND when we stole the 3 points at their place on our first away game of the season) they are a better team than Everton.

Blackburn, a better fuckin' team than Everton, what are we saying?! But on yesterdays, no, not yesterdays but the whole dollop of shite which we have been dished up all season, Blackburn are better than Everton. They've even beaten Manure on their own doorstep.

On yesterdays performance you can see why. They pass the ball, they go forward with intent, they have tricky skilful players and they are good to watch. They will not go down.

On the other hand, there is always one team, who in the second half of the season, drop like a stone. That team, on this performance, could well be Everton.

Let's go through the side:

Tim Howard - normally sound. Good shot stopper, hates coming off his line and showed it today with his fuckin' howler for their equaliser.

Captain Phil - great at rallying the troops and that's about all. Great servant for Everton, great buy but finished. Got fuckin' roasted today by Tiollet.

Leighton Baines - fuckin' love him, player of the season so far but had a quiet game today.

Shane Duffy - looks a great prospect. Won everything in the air today but had a couple of Joey Yobo moments.

Johnny - growing better every game looks strong and class. Has proved himself to doubter Moyesy.

Landon - usually a revelation but yesterday he had his worst ever game in an Everton shirt, his miss when through on goal at the Street End could haunt him.

Screech - class, the goals have dried up but he does what he is told. Would walk into any side in the top three.

Gibbo - looks a tidy player. Early days but could be another bargain buy.

Big Vic - today he showed his worst side. Big useless lump. Maybe he gets the heebie-jeebies at Goodison? Played out of position on the wing and sulked through the game before getting the curly finger.

Timmy - Great servant. Great memories. Scored his first goal in 13 months. Finished.

King Louis - lost his crown. Forced to play up front on his own. Shite.

Not forgetting Moyesy of course, today he blew everyone's mind with his line up. We are at home and he drops Rolls Royston, ok he's frustrating but he unlocks opponents, he goes at defenders, he's exciting to watch but clearly does not conform to Moyesy's requirement.

Moyes put Big Vic on the wing today. Mistake.

Moyesy played 'King' Louis up front on his own today. Mistake.

OK. Moyes could not allow for the performances of Captain Phil, Landon, Big Vic & Saha but his starting point was negative as usual. Just like when we are defending a corner we have eleven in the box. If Moyes could get the subs on he would have 18 in the box for a corner!

No. Absolute fuckin' shite.

We went ahead through a dodgy goal. Bainesy and Landon worked it across from the left, Screech looked like he used his hand to control the ball and put at shot in, it squirmed to Timmy and he put it in the net.

1 up but at this point we could have been two down, Tim keeping us in the game. Rovers hit the post just before the break but we went in ahead.

After the break there was only one team in it and it was not Everton. Rovers play good football and will not go down.

They got a deserved equaliser with about 20 mins to go. Tim fucked up trying to punch a clearance over players. What Gordon West would have made of it God only knows. Gordon would have punched the ball to the half way line and taken out every single player in front of him, including his own. But Tim shits himself when he comes off his line and once again paid the penalty.

The equaliser may have been scrappy but it was thoroughly deserved.

Duffers hit the bar late on and Rovers also scrambled a Screech effort off the line but make no mistake Everton were relieved to get off the pitch with a point.

The crowd booed, the boos should have been directed at Moyes.

Absolute bag of shite served up to us long sufferers once again. Those 14 points to safety are going to be like pulling teeth, the sad thing is that it will be awful to watch as well. God help us!

Blue Kipper Star Man was between two, Duffers did really well and won everything in the air but had a couple of dodgy moments which is why it goes to Screech who worked tirelessly, always got his foot in, made the goal and nearly scored the winner.

That aside, Moyesy needs to take a long hard look at himself because at the moment we are only going one way and it is not to Europe.

Absolute shite again on Sat! Can anyone remember the last time we were set out positively and actually looked like we wanted to play football and win a game? I've been to every single game this season and can't remember!!! I don't care about all this shite about lack of funds, look at Blackpool, they're a small club and haven't got a pot to piss in but still try and play exciting, attacking football and entertain their crowd - Moyes needs to take a leaf out of Holloway's book, we have much better players and need to start playing football. At the minute we're the worst team in the league, playing awful football, so so boring and just painful to watch. Look at the games we've won this season, and look how many of them we scored in the last couple of mins, take away those late goals and we'd be rock bottom. Moyes says we need to get to 40 points, looking at our remaining fixtures I just can't see where we're going to get points from. We look like we're going to get hammered every game because going forward we're totally devoid of ideas so we just opt to knock it long and hope for set pieces - disgraceful! Sorry to say, i'm actually gutted that Cahill scored, now Moyes will think things are working and will keep him in the team. He's an impact player at best now and should be used as such coming from the bench. We need to shake things up and change things around, this just isn't going to happen as it's not the Moyes way so we're going to have to sit and watch the same old shite again and again and again - no wonder so many fans are chossing to stay away. It's hard not to be so negative but there is absolutely fuck all to be positive about.

Everything points to the sale of the club asap. Team performances are mediocre, the boards 'puppet' Elstone is doing a 'bully' Wyness with mis-informationand 'I'm only the messenger'' The the rest of the board are in 'stealth mode'. Not heard of, or seen! Just when we building on good things over a few seasons, we are back to survivng the drop. Is that progress? This season is a 'write off', we can only hope that we have a clear out, ( Saha, Neville, Anichebe, Hibbert, Dustbin, McFadden, Straqua and Drenthe) and get some better quality players in, and find new DECENT owners who will bring in 7 or 8 good quality players to add to some good players that we have, and we may be up there next season.

C'mon Ian Holloway - there'll be a vacancy soon and you fit the bill to bring back attacking football and get the best out of the players we do have (you can bring a couple of obligatory tangerines with you as well). Home to Fulham on Friday night just fills me with dread as well

As an expat, wtaching online and reading blogs is as close as I can get to getting to the match. From what I have read and seen we were dreadful on Saturday and have been pretty much all season. I am starting to wonder whether thats the plan, just do enough to stay out of the mire, to try and get Bill to raise some money. Is Moyes going to him, " this is as good as it gets without some real cash". That way if he gets the cash, we will start playing proper footbal instead of this negative stuff, if he doesn't get the cash everyone blames Bill and Moyes leaves to find somewhere which can "match his ambition". He can't have long left on his contract and I think he is working it so that he goes with no big drama. Or am I being cynical!!!!

FUCKING SHITE!!! I work 40 hours a week for next to nothing and them lazy useless bastards live the life I could only dream of. It would take me 4 years to earn what that lazy prick Saha earns in a week. I am absolutely disgusted. I scrimp and save to go to watch the blues and pay their wages and they show no thanks to us followers for that. We have lads serving in a war risking their lives day in and day out for next to nothing and they never moan, sulk, its 110% every day. These so called superstars should count their lucky stars but show no gratitude at all. Give any fan 10 minutes on that pitch and they will show more willing and fight then half these players would all season!

The consistency of the comments regarding the club and team is growing and unfortunately we are heading for desperate times. The performances this season have been shocking and our ability to put the ball in the net is embarrassing. Thesame players are turning out the same dross week after week and yet when fit get in. We invariably lose when we set out not to so why don't we change it and have a go! If he wants PN in the team, play him at left back and get Bainsey left side midfield. We ask him to carry out all offensive threats and still expect him to defend. Never been the same since Pienaar went. Get Magaye Gueye on with Velios and also Ross Barkley. I hate to say this because they have been good servants to the club but Saha, Cahill, Anichebe have to be moved on and young eager players have to come in. Fellaini is class. I think he looks disinterested because the team does not match his ability. He would be outstanding at somewhere like Man U Chelsea or Arsenal. We are luck we have got him. All these comments we are all making are because we love the club. We don't get anywhere near what these people we have to rely on earn and it pains me when we seem to see the problems and the management do nothing about it. Next two home games after Fulham in the FA Cup, Man City and Chelsea and you just know we will be difficult beat, offer nothing going forward and end up losing. Another 6 points lost without showing any fight!!! COYB..... SORT IT OUT FAST!!!!

This is dire and has been pretty much since the cup final. Every year the 3 promoted sides are guarenteed to be favourites for immediate relegation and there's a genuine chance we'll finish below all 3 this year. It's just not fun at the moment. We are so predictable- every game is simply a series of crosses in the vain hope of success. Prior to landons ball thru against villa, can anyone recall a decent defence-splitting pass finished by a forward? When was the last time we scored a goal that made the "goal of the month"? The money situation is obviously massive, but the simple act of the correct player in the correct position is so clear to be seen- I can't work out moyes' ideas. Look at the 4points we've "stolen" off Blackburn (a team in total disarray) and look at the situation with them +4 points instead. We may survive this season but it's a steady decline for 3yrs now that needs halting ASAP

We are slowly watching the demise of our beloved club, unless something is done now i think we will be lucky to stay up. Yes Wolves and Wigan are poor but both are capable of putting a run of a few good games. I think we are the poorest team in the prem at the moment and that hurts.

Best report of match for a while ... Moyes is so negative even in his interviews and the reason we won't go down is there are 3 worse teams than us!

Simple. Move on DM. The board has allowed you to become the most negative manager in the PL. The faithful deserve better but BK is delighted with you!

Blame the tactics as much as you want but there were a number of occassions yesterday, when the crowd could see the pass to be made and the player chose the sideways (easy) option. On the rare occassion that a player tried something and it did not "come off" the crowd were groaning there bollocks off. You only have to look at our home record as against our away record to see that our players do not like playing at home. We as a home crowd need to ask if we are doing our bit for the cause, I have been attending home games for over thirty years and I cannot remember a time when the crowd have been so quiet. I know we can make a noise because when the Red Shite and the Mancs come visiting we are up for it as opposed to when entertain Blackburn, Bolton, Stoke. I know its the age old question, do the crowd inspire the team or the team inspire the crowd, lets get behind the boys and put fear into the opposition and not into our own players.

And they want their manager sacked, at least he had them playing good passing football and going fwd at every oppurtunity, I bet the YAK was pissing his pants laughing. If there was a prize for passing sideways and backwards we would be top of the league. Moyes sent the players out with negative tactics and it showed in most as a lack of commitment. Players sat on the bench deserve a chance to show what they can do in place of these players. They must find it hard to change a game after sitting there and watching the same shite as we watch. Likes of Hibbert would run to their last breath for the blues and every player should have that mentality. I know we dont have a lot to shout about lately but the fans need to get behind the team and get the stadium back to rocking as it used too.

Totally agree with all the points made. A dismal display, and Moyes is starting to lose people who used to defend him. Norwich, for example, with their squad of players who were mostly playing in lower league divisions not more then a few years ago would play us off the park because Paul Lambert plays to WIN. Moyes plays not to lose, and, with our squad and wages paid, its pathetic seeing midfielders have to pass sideways or backwards cos the LONE striker up front is marked out of the game! Why is Drenthe not starting? Im dumbfounded in honesty, and the fact that the teams below us, except maybe for Wolves and Wigan are hitting form and brimming with confidence means as it stands, the only way for us is down! Unless things change soon, were in for a relegation battle!!! Its shite

Totally agree, we put seven defensive minded players on the pitch at home with RR and Maggie sitting. We seem so afraid to run at players, square balls 3 times and hoof it up the pitch or into the box where Saha and Victor can't be bothered. Getting very worried, we have been played off the park by relegation-threatened teams, unacceptable. Roll the dice and throw on the youngsters, I can accept defeat but not the willingness to at least go out and give a 100% effort for the shirt. Feel so bad for the loyal fans who have sat thru the last few months home and away and the crap weather on top of it, my hats off to you all.

Finally people are starting to realise. Might as well just start 11 defenders. Really good to see some of the comments on here. I think Moyes is forgetting that the fans are in charge of Everton and not him. What we want to see is some attacking and positive football with players played in their correct fucking position and where in form players replace his favourites. What we don't want to see is his negative, stubborn and selfish career minded approach to the game. Stop letting him do it!!!!!!! One misfiring forward against Blackburn at home takes the cake. As long as we don't lose though ey Moyes. Moyes out

I hate to come on moaning but this Fucking pile of shite we are watching week in and week out is getting worse. it seems to me like we are watching the slow death of our once great club. It looks as though none of them are interested anymore Moyes included, His team decisions and tactics are becoming a joke, yes he has no money and has sold our best players but he sets out a negative team that don't look threatening or capable or breaking down a team, If we had messi or Ronaldo Moyes would manage to ruin them by making them constantly defend and stifle any creativity they had. If we are like this against the crap of the league I dread the next few games against the top teams. In Moyes I don't trust anymore, Clear out the board Management and everything from top to bottom and start again before we get relegated and go bust. Hope you are pleased with yourself Kenwright getting exactlywhat you deserve at the moment

It really is time for moyes to go and kenwright as well. We need a manager who is not afraid of getting beat and will play attacking attractive football. We have some good footballers at Everton Football Club who must be fed up of the shite way we play. I would put Phil Neville in charge who knows what it takes to have a winning and successfull team but I would not make him a player as well

its obvious we need a couple more players but we need them now not 5 mins before the window closes the damage has been done already with the lack of ambition by the club and i fear for us this season we are absolutely rubbish in all departments i have lost all hope of us finishing in the top ten kenwright our club is dying slowly and its your fault let go if you love this club

Piss fucking poor.Am sick of being played off the park by so called shit teams, every game this season the away team looks like the home side.I was really impressed with Rovers yesterday, they did everything we fail to do miserably.Quick sharp passes from back to front, movement off the ball, players that want to beat the defender and midfielders that look to join in with the forwards.Moyes stop being stubborn and loyal to players that dont deserve it.Most of the players need to go in the summer, bring in young hungry players and entertain us for fucks sake.
Paul, Aigburth, 1:19 PM 22/01/2012

Well, not much to add. Out of total 97 minutes played, Everton offered decent level of commitment for ~6 minutes. No matter how optimistic you are, it is impossible to defend. Shocking in the extreme. OPEC next in the league. Expecting a team with 11 GKs...and annihilation.

Can anyone enlighten me as to when the last time was that Moyes actually set out a team to win a game? I have finally lost all hope in the man, like many supporters I have always questioned his tactics, his lack of ability to bring subs on to change a game early enough instead of the last 15 or so minutes has always been a source of contention, but lately it has just become a joke. A manager CANNOT have favourites, and MUST have the testicles to drop a player out of form and then, in a more recent instance, stick by his convictions and not bring them back in after they throw a hissy fit on twatter. We have young players that "are still learning the game" by means of gathering an array of splinters on their arses, and when they do get a chance and do well, they're dropped, and in particular with regards to Vellios, stuck on the bench for a few games running and prefered to someone (Strac obviously) who has never looked close to scoring a goal for us when he has come on, or indeed started. We have a player in Gueye who looks the part, and Drenthe who as enigmatic and infuriating as he can be, who both add a different dimension to the team, yet are benched in order for a favourite of his to be played out of position. Football is a game about winning, though sadly Moyes seems content to just attempt to not lose, and that, more often than not, comes back to bite him in the arse without a lesson ever being learnt from it.

Completely agree with the match report. Moyes' gameplan is to go out there and not get beat, instead of going out looking for the win. Sometimes the players don't look like they know where to run and i feel sorry for Fellaini cuz he has to do about 3 players jobs! To much loyalty is shown to neville, saha and cahill who must be moved on quickly. We were completely outplayed yesterday and the only positives were the partnership between Heitinga and Duffy. It really showed how important Osman is to us, not only for his ability but also for his battling. I just felt so shit watching some players shy out of tackles!!

Couldn't agree more that is why after 25 years me and my son didn't renew our season tickets although we have only missed two games We had 3 left wingers on the bench, Maggy, Billy, Royston and we played Victor, atrocious and an insult. We ended up with r3 players who are not even fullt fledged to the club, Landon, Royston and Strac what another insult. Goodison should be renamed, Purgatory Park

No wonder attendances are down when were getting out played by Blackburn. We were lucky not to be going in at half time a few goals down. Saha is useless, big Vic despite a few goals is still shit, Fellaini looks a shadow of what he was 18 months ago and even though Cahill got a goal he was again poor. Duffy put in another good shift though
