After a frustrating start to the season, Everton Ladies are currently fourth in the league and Mo Marley is preparing the team to push up the table during the second half of the campaign.

In the space of just two weeks, the team will play four home games that include visits from Chelsea (Sunday 24 July), arch-rivals Liverpool (Wednesday 27 July), and Arsenal (Sunday 31 July).

The Everton Ladies Manager believes women's football has upped its game in recent years.

Mo was speaking ahead of a crucial run of fixtures for the Blues as the FA Women's Super League returns after a break for the World Cup.

The tournament proved a fantastic showpiece for the ladies game and with four of the Everton Ladies team helping the Three Lions to reach the quarter finals, Mo is hoping her players can transfer their performances on the world stage to the domestic league.

Mo said: "Our girls conducted themselves exceptionally well during the tournament. I'm proud of their performances and the way they conducted themselves on and off the field.

People will expect more from them now so let's hope they can transfer their performances on the world stage to the WSL.

The standard of football has dramatically increased since the 2007 World Cup, both technically and tactically. The results and the closeness of all the games represents that.

It's similar to how the first part of the WSL has gone. The results and what it takes to win games is much harder on a world stage and within WSL we now have to play smarter and show our resilience and true qualities within matches.

It's been a long break since May, everybody has been occupied in different ways so it's nice to get back to week to week games. There's a great team spirit and it's nice to see big numbers back at training and it's very competitive, they all want to play. It's going to be another big test and the quality of this team has to show in the second part of the WSL."

The Blues face Chelsea this Sunday (24 July) and Evertonians can watch the team in action for bargain prices.

There's also fun for all the family with a host of interactive games and entertainment before the match.

Fans can test their skills on table football, take part in their very own press conference, watch performances from a freestyle footballer and show their true blue colours by getting their face painted in the Women's Super League marquee.

Supporters also have the chance to win Everton and England star Jill Scott's signed World Cup shirt with an exclusive raffle to be held at half-time.

Excellent four-match ticket deals are on offer for the remaining home fixtures at Marine FC in Crosby, at only £10 for adults and £12 for an adult and junior for all four games.

To enquire about tickets, email Jody Handley on jody.handley@evertonfc.com or call 07971 314 715.

Supporters can also pay on the gate for the home games, with tickets just £3 for adults and £1 for juniors (under 16's).
