As events gather pace in ownership and administration of the club perhaps it is time to update the power game and amend who owns what as of 27th May 2004. All of the following basic data is in the public domain and replaces previous essays of mine. The later opinions, as ever, are my own.

True Blue Holdings (TBH) own Everton Football Club by virtue of owning 71.39% of the shares. Individual TBH percentage shareholdings are as follows –

Bill Kenwright 32.81%.
Paul Gregg 32.60%.
Jon Woods 25.64%.
Arthur Abercromby 7.39%.
Others 1.56%.

When non-TBH shares are added in, Bill Kenwright becomes the unquestioned majority owner of Everton Football Club. Paul Gregg is second. Until and unless there is a change that is the position.

This Summer will see the realization of major changes long in the pipeline, probably including inward investment. There are several options open at present but they will take time to bring to fruition. Anybody who has paid commonsensical attention to similar situations elsewhere in football will know the truth of this. NOBODY has a fast-track. That is the nature of the beast.

In the meantime, you being a sensible soul, you will know that if you have any genuine investment proposals to make then the ever-receptive owner probably will be more than willing to add them to his existing options. But do make sure you have thought things through and you have all the necessary details in your proposal. Spivs, gangsters and whiz-kids need not apply.

That’s the way it is.
