NEW KIT CELEBRATES DEVOTION

Everton will hope the new 'vanilla' 3rd kit will bring them some much needed luck when they wear it for the first time against Chelsea away on 4th December 2010.

'Everton Football Club will celebrate its rich heritage of famous strips this week with the launch of the Club's third kit for the 2010 /11 season.

Taking inspiration from iconic strips worn throughout the club's illustrious history, the new strip incorporates collars and hooped socks, echoing the style that was proudly worn during the era of Everton legends Dixie Dean, TG Jones and Ted Sagar.

Supporters will catch the first glimpse of the club's classic-look new third kit when it is revealed by Everton, and its retail partner Kitbag on Friday 17 September.

The theme of the campaign is 'Devotion' to depict the one constant throughout Everton's 132-year history - the fans. The new Everton colours will give the devoted faithful a strip to celebrate with navy shorts, which are teamed with a stylish vanilla top to create a classic look, with a modern twist.

Everton defender, Leighton Baines, said: "I think the new kit is really classy - I like it. The retro look is great and I think the fans will really like it too."

For those devoted Blues that want to look the part when supporting Everton this season, the third kit will be available to pre-order online at www.evertondirect.com from 17 September, ahead of it being launched in Everton One, Everton Two and online on 30 September.

I like it! But it will take more than a lucky kit to get us winning games the way we're been playing! But I like the shirt - I may buy it

I heard a rumour that may or may not be true but apparently this away kit was meant for next season but quite alot of the 1st team had complained about the pink kit so Le Coq decided to make this Kit quickly and it will last for two seasons as it has been released so late. I hope its true!

Phew, I was starting to get worried about the many times this season where we would clash with the teams that wear blue and electric pink.

Why do we need a 3rd kit no one else plays in pink so we will never be clashing ( VERY NICE THOUGH )

Nice kit, better than the pink one. What are the odds that come May it will be reduced to £8.00? What happed to the good old days when kits lasted two seasons?
