We asked Ben from To The Lane And Back website 10 questions ahead of the game

Here's Ben's answers

How do you think your Premiership campaign is going?

I think Spurs are doing absolutely brilliantly and I couldn't ask for anything more. Third heading into 2012 after the awful start to the season is just excellent to see and being mentioned as title contenders couldn't be better.

If you don't win the league who do you think will?

Well, I don't think we will win the league. I know the bookies have given us some favourable odds but it won't happen because, looking beyond out first-teamers, our strength in depth isn't as impressive as some are making out.

Manchester United have the winning mentality and know how to win games but their squad now looks too thin after injuries so I think Manchester City will be top of the pile come May, but United are going to run them to the wire.

How is Harry doing?

Exceptionally well. He was on the receiving end of some heavy criticism last season but he got the players he needed in Friedel, Parker and Adebayor over the summer and the spine of the team has completely changed and developed. Links with the England job are inevitable and Daniel Levy will be hoping to extend his contract beyond the summer of 2013. I just hope he stays because there is really nobody else who can take over. Plus, he is working wonders for us at the moment.

How do rate David Moyes?

Very, very highly. With the budget at his disposal and the players available to him, a number of teams would've struggled. But, he has dug deep accepted who he has and got on with it with minimal fuss and it wears off on the players. My one critique would be to address the early season form. If they can start the season the way they end it, they would be achieving higher finishes every season.

Where do you think Everton will finish?

Unfortunately, as good as Moyes is, the boards hesitance to provide him the funds he needs to strengthen the squad is holding Everton back. A new striker this month must be high on the agenda, especially with only 20 league goals to the clubs name this year. If nobody comes in, or Saha doesn't find some form, I can see them finishing lower down. However, an 8th place finish is definitely achievable.

Do you think you will strengthen your squad in January?

Well, we kind of need to now that Gallas and King are out. Kaboul and Dawson can't play together and Bassong looks set to leave this month. Samba has been linked but I would like to see Vertonghen from Ajax come in. Still, I wouldn't say no to the Blackburn Rovers captain. Hoilett has also been linked and would be a nice little arrival, considering he can play on the left, right and behind the striker and without Lennon and/or Bale available, our game suffers as a result.

Finally, a new burly front-man has been linked. Adebayor is our main man but he's looking complacent in his role. Defoe won't challenge him with both being two different strikers so one similar would be ideal. Leandro from Internacional or Atletic Bilbao's Llorente would be nice but I can't see any major movements happening until the summer because, let's face it, I am not the only Spurs fan the sighs when Pavlyuchenko begins to warm up.

Will Steven Pienaar be at Spurs at the end of January?

I very much doubt it. Playing him against Cheltenham on Saturday was a silly move by Redknapp as he can't play in the FA Cup for another club until next season and will see his value drop. He was a peculiar signing in the first place, especially when we already had Kranjcar. If we can break-even on him then I think we should take the offer.

Who is your favourite all time Everton player?

Duncan Ferguson. Exactly what you need in a striker and an attitude to match. Notable mentions go to Neville Southall, Gary Speed and Daniel Amokachi.

What will the score be on Wednesday night?

It will be a tight affair. The Everton defence are well organised and it is hardly surprising that they have only conceded 22 goals this year. However, a lack of goals will cost them and with the Spurs first-team well rested after a week off, and on-form, I think a 3-1 win for the home-side (sorry!)

What is your personal favourite cheese?

Keeping it Greek and going for some Feta. Nothing better in a salad.

One of the better interviews that. I also fear he is right and we will get a good hiding.

Good interview... Unfortunately i think I'd agree with the result prediction. With the players we have out we are going to struggle tonight... I just hope it doesnt get out of hand, which it has every potential of doing against a team like Spurs!

A very balanced view of both teams, to the point of being quite flattering to Everton. It will be very interesting to see who Moyes plays tonight and what formation. If he gets it wrong, I fear a spanking. If he gets it right a low scoring draw at best. We arent going to fluke a win at Spurs - sorry.
