Kevin Sheedy's youngsters are out of the FA Youth Cup.
Everton lost 1-0 away at Queens Park Rangers last night courtesy of a stunning winner from the highly rated Bruno Andrade.
Everton were without the injured Ross Barkley and despite having the majority of the play they went out of the competition.
The goal came four minutes into the second half. Forward Andrade drifted inside from the right flank before catching Toffees goalkeeper James Fitzgibbon unawares with a thunderous 30-yard strike (seems we are susceptible to these strike in London) to register the only goal of the game and help the hosts claim a memorable scalp.
Rangers had a man sent off 14 minutes from the end for a bad challenge on Johan Hammar but the ten men weathered all Everton could muster, with the defence standing firm during a lengthy period of stoppage time to help their side prevail.
Everton: James Fitzgibbon, Tyias Browning, Jasper Johns (Ibou Touray 83), Ben Heneghan, Johan Hammar (Eric Dier 77), John Lundstram, Ryan Higgins, Adam Thomas (George Waring 79), Hallam Hope, Anton Forrester, Conor Grant.
Sheeds will not be happy, then again find an Evertonian who is at present!
