Kevin Sheedy is frustrated at his team's performance following their FA Youth Cup 4th Round exit last week at QPR.
Sheeds has spoken of his disappointment as Everton wasted chance after chance whilst dominating the tie against a Rangers side that finished the game with ten men. Despite striking the woodwork twice the young Blues could not score and crashed out.
Sheeds said: 'We performed well for a lot of the game and the players created some good chances. Early on we had a golden chance but put it over the bar.'
'We kept getting in good positions but our crossing let us down. It was frustrating because it is not like we were beaten by the better side. If that was the case then we'd hold our hands up.'
'We had high hopes for the FA Cup, particularly after beating a very good Crystal Palace side in the third round with a good performance.'
'We didn't really get much of a chance to see QPR live before we went down there last week and do our usual homework. Because of Christmas and the weather, they didn't have a game so we were not 100% on them unfortunately'.
'But our attacking play on the night was not good enough and, again, we failed to keep a clean sheet.'
Maybe next year Sheeds?
