A group of Blues fans, meanwhile, are also looking to improve the atmosphere at home matches by creating an unofficial 'singing area' in the Gwladys Street End, starting with the visit of Fulham on Friday, led by Toffeeman Derek Turnbull.
Degsy said: 'A few of us are looking to bring back more singing and atmosphere at Goodison by encouraging our more vocal supporters, who are prepared to make an effort, to congregate at the back of the Lower Gwladys Street (GT4 initially LL-PP 099-104) for the FA Cup match against Fulham.'
'We have tried this out in the League Cup this season and it showed its potential but to push on and make a difference we need more fans.'
'There is an air of negativity around Goodison at the moment despite talk of the fans getting behind the team on the pitch, and we welcome all fans to this regardless of their views on off the field matters.'
'We see it as a positive way to do our bit to help the team on the pitch.'
Good luck to Derek and all the other bass baritones, we need all the help we can get on Friday.
