A group of Blues fans, meanwhile, are also looking to improve the atmosphere at home matches by creating an unofficial 'singing area' in the Gwladys Street End, starting with the visit of Fulham on Friday, led by Toffeeman Derek Turnbull.

Degsy said:  'A few of us are looking to bring back more singing and atmosphere at Goodison by encouraging our more vocal supporters, who are prepared to make an effort, to congregate at the back of the Lower Gwladys Street (GT4 initially LL-PP 099-104) for the FA Cup match against Fulham.'

'We have tried this out in the League Cup this season and it showed its potential but to push on and make a difference we need more fans.'

'There is an air of negativity around Goodison at the moment despite talk of the fans getting behind the team on the pitch, and we welcome all fans to this regardless of their views on off the field matters.'

'We see it as a positive way to do our bit to help the team on the pitch.'

Good luck to Derek and all the other bass baritones, we need all the help we can get on Friday.

Best of luck lads, I'll be in front of you in row T. Hope it doesn't upset MBE as he is sitting on his arse, unable to hear himself moaning about the our beloved Blues. Probably won't put this comment on the site either. Can't have negative comments about MBE can we? Get behind the lads on Friday COYB

Used to love the old atmos in the Gwladys, singing all the players songs just before kick off to get them going and making them up on the spot against the opposition and ref. Boss times. Still have to join in with the Gwladys when they get going now I'm in the Main Stand, Jeez its like a library there most games.

I remember going the games in the Europa league days and Goodison was constantley rocking and teams found it intimadating but now your could hear a pin drop and only sing after we score for a couple of mins. Lets get noisy from the begining.

Not really a singing club are we? We have "and if yer know....." "everton, everton,ever-ton....etc" and that's about it really. Do get the odd shout/chant for a player, but we don't have a load of songs to sing. It's got worse over the last 15 years or so, which is fair enough when we have nowt to sing about.

So sad that we've reached this low.Desperate are we,that we have to ask for vocal involvement in our glorious Gwladys Street.I'd much rather Kenwright put up or fucked off.Team much the same to be honest.Too many lacking effort & no,while they're earning mega wages,I am not 'Sorry for them'.

This is the sort of thing that there Blue Union shoulda been arranging - songs from the terraces - not scuffles in the car parks!

Basically what Celtic and Rangers do. Although i have found it means nobody else bothers then.

About bloody time. No ground has been more quiet this season than ours. Admittedly, there hasnīt been much to cheer, but come on letīs make some noise and fight fo a cup run!
