Everton To Travel To Europe For Pre-Season

Everton's pre-season details for the start of 2012/13 are still to be finalised, but what is certain is the first team squad will travel to Austria once again for a training camp in June. Everton have enjoyed this part of the pre-season where the hard work is done on the fitness side of the training.

It looks like the club has decided to go to Europe rather than the USA for a few friendly games.

The club were in talks with organisers of a tournament in Portugal's Algarve, but agreement was not reached and this may not happen. So no leaving the family in Praia De Rocha while we go to watch the game in the sunshine.

There is a chance that Everton will take part in a tournament in Poland, but again nothing has been finalised.

Oh Shite, There was a rumour a few months ago of a pre season trip to Thailand.....was looking forward to it. Never mind then. My mate Lammy ( known to you Blue Kipper Guys ) and his lad Shane are coming over, that will ensure that Chang's profits go up in Thailand. Maybe go visit Les in Phuket !!!!

Why do we waste our time playing pre-season against shite teams? Then we all wonder why we don't start the season well. Maybe if we play some pre-season games against half decent clubs that are more up to our standard, we might do better at the start of the season.

is right, love it if the blues used there head for once and took a little 2 1/2 3 hour flight to somewhere where most blues could efford to get to see them and also agree with Les, it wont goose them before the season even starts. COYB

I think more preseason games against championship sides would be better for us. These trips to USA and Australia have resulted in poor starts every year. Just keep it local and keep the teams British. I think we struggle to get to grips with the hustle & bustle of the premier league after our jollies. Keep it rough & ready this year

I agree with Les, PHUKET... It seems a change of pre-season and less travelling could be a perfect choice... even if the tan suffers a bit!

Aah at last the penny as dropped, no messing about on these mind and body sapping treks to Australia and then wondering why the boys make a bad start. Keep it as local as possible, you dont need to build up your fitness in another continent regardless of any marketing strategy, the best is whats done on the pitch in the Prem
