Everton Football Club have moved into the 20th century and introduced a Chip and PIN system 'in a bid to offer customers a more secure way to pay with credit or debit cards'.
Chip and PIN devices have now been fitted at each box office window around the ground so fans buying match tickets with a credit or debit card will need to know their PIN number.
Previously supporters could use their credit or debit card to make purchases by providing a signature but with the introduction of the devices from TODAY, your PIN number must be used to buy tickets.
A pop-up window will appear during the online transaction process asking the cardholder for a password which the bank will then be able to authenticate.
Don't forget your PIN!
