Peanuts To Wait For A Start
Bookmark and Share

Steven Pienaar may have to wait for his return to first team action and he will likely to start on the bench for todays game against Wigan.

It looks like a straight choice between Royston and Peanuts for the starting eleven. Kipper has picked Royston, who would you have?

David Moyes said: "The big concern out of two boys we brought in is Steven. Nikica is probably more ready to play, even though he had the flu and didn't play for Rangers last week.

"Steven is the one who has had only bits and pieces of football so there is a concern as to whether he is ready for 90 minutes and ready for a regular 90 minutes at the moment."

"But they tell me when he was a young boy he was a cross country champion in South Africa and as you can imagine that would take some doing! So I am hoping he has still got a bit of that in him."

I take it back Vick! While I humbly eat my own words to my earlier comment (5) I just like to say thanks for proving me wrong!...Again!

Is it me or does it seem like Moysey now has a few selection dilemmas? It's nice for a change. When all fit, I'd go Howard, Neville, Jags, Jonny, Baines, Fellaini, Donovan, Gibson, Peanuts, Rodwell, Jelavic. Pick your subs from Big Vic, Timmy, Distin, Hibbo, Drethe, Straq, Vellios, Ossy, Duffy, Seamus...and it's starting to look like Moysey's third squad is starting to develop nicely. The only downside is the issue of our best player continuing at Goodison- the wizard Donovan. But overall, things are looking up- weve gotta put sides like Wigan away though. No more excuses. Beat them.

I know he won't play this team or formation due to playing those who have played well in the last game and injuries, but our best team in the future for me, would be in a 4-3-3; Howard - Neville - Jagielka - Distin - Baines, Rodwell - Fellaini - Pienaar, Donovan - Jelavic - Drenthe.

I like Jimmy, Wallasey's idea of starting Pienaar and bringing Drenthe on for the last 30 mins! But for the life of me I don't know where Dave will play Cahill. Although Gibbo scored the only goal of the game he was the weakest link in MF! But it would be unwise to take him off after winning us the game! What a difference a week makes! I'd be gutted if he still kept playing Cahill in the same position! I'd be even more gutted if he put Vick on!

For me Drenthe is better from the bench he gets ahead of himself constantly and tends to give the ball away too much... prefer to see him come off the bench when the other team is tired and can run rings round em then! nuts for me!

Got to start with Peanuts for me, then bring Drenthe on for the last 30 mins to get at them!

He will start. Drenthe (away from home) will replace him after 65/70 mins. We can all read the play like a book. This will be the team Howard Neville, Hibbert, Heitinga, Baines Donovan, Fellaini, Gibson, Pienaar, Then it gets interesting!!! Which two of 3 does he play out of Cahill, the Count or Jelly? Jelly apparently has had flu, Cahill and the Count lack goals but neither can be criticised for work ethic. If Jelly is ok then I think its him and Straq up top

Howard Hibbert - Duffy - Heitinga - Baines Donovan - Fellaini - Gibson - Drenthe Straq - Jelavic....is what I would like but think Moyes will go Howard - Neville - Hibbert - Baines Donovan - Fellaini - Gibson - Drenthe Cahill Straq; and sub Cahill and Drenthe for Jelavic and Pienaar at some point
