Our Jack Out Of Euro 2012
Bookmark and Share

David Moyes has confirmed that Jack Rodwell has suffered another hamstring blow, and will not be able to compete at Euro 2012!

Our Jack has had a difficult season since being touted as a £20m target for Manure, he has been dogged by injury and poor form but thought he had an outside chance to make the tournament in Poland and Ukraine, but will be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign due to a recurring injury.

Moyesy said: 'Jack Rodwell has pulled his hamstring again training.'

'He trained Saturday morning and felt his hamstring again. He had a scan. It's a grade one which is small. But in the circumstances two or three times now. We are trying to send him to Germany for treatment.'

'Dr Müller-Wohlfahrt is away this week and because he is the Bayern Munich doctor he has a very big week next week because of their Champions League semi-final. So trying to get hold of him will be the hardest thing certainly in the short term.'

'I would advise him to concentrate on next season because Jack has probably missed six months with hamstring injuries so we have to get him working on whatever work programme they recommend him to do.'

Hopefully, Our Jack will take Moyesy's advice?

Chin up Jack. Hope to see you in a blue shirt next year, fit and well. You are going to be a top top player and this is just part and parcel of football. You've just been unlucky this season. Good luck. COYB

I'm sorry, but this lad isn't going to make it. He hasn't got the right determined constructive mentality and now he's injury prone as well. I wish it was otherwise.

Moyes is right, treatment and rest is the only answer to Jacks complaint. Shame for the lad, but he has a good recovery time before next season to get himself sortet, and thankfully with the team playing well there is no rush to get him back.
