Fellaini Wants More Summer Signings

Marouane Fellaini, Everton's record £15m signing was happy with his performance in the FA Cup semi final defeat at Wembley. We think there'll be plenty of Everton fans who will disagree with that.

The Belgium international has called upon Everton chairman, Blue Bill to spend in the Summer. We think there'll be plenty of Everton fans who will agree with that.

Fellaini said: "My job at Everton is to win as many balls as possible and redistribute them with the least waste possible. From this viewpoint, I can be happy with my performance, but the disappointment eventually takes over and I maybe wasn't as physically fresh during the game.

"Our Cup run has stopped but we can be satisfied with how far we got, but I'd like us to be stronger and be more competitive than we have. I hope the chairman will be able to loosen the purse strings this summer."

Maybe the curly haired one maybe the player to move on in the Summer to raise the money for new players.

We need to hold on to all our main players like Fellani, Jags, Heitinga, Baines, Jelavic, Howard. We need a good RB, Dempsey in the Cahill role and a winger like Adam Johnson. We would be challenging top 4 if we can get 15-20 m from some where !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clint Dempsey and Adam Johnson would be great signings

Fellaini is our best player. We lose him and Baines. We will not be able to replace them there both world class players!

Funny how a lot of top managers and coaches with qualifications and proven track-records think Rodwell is a good player now with great potential for the future. Yes, he has had a number of injuries, especially hamstrings, but a number of players went through similar problems around the same age. Ryan Giggs was on the bench for the 95 cup final because he'd had persistent hamstring injuries. Stan Gerald from the other lot had loads of back and hamstring injuries in his early 20s. Give the lad a chance to play for a while without injuries before making sweeping judgements. Rodwell is a good player.

Fellani and Heitinga where the two best players for Everton by a Mile in the Cup Semi. Anyone who didn't see that doesn't know football. When he moved up front it reduced his effectiveness and Cahill was simply nonexistent all game.

Felli ran midfield until he got pushed up top, I know we're all disappointed but come on, to say he was poor is ridiculous!! he is a different class to anything we have at the club. Id still let him shag my wife

Can't believe the criticism Gibson has been getting. First time (ONLY time) he's lost in a blue shirt. Am I the only person who noticed the reason he didn't contribute a lot going forward was that for the most part he was following Gerrard around the pitch, and did a decent job. Fellaini had a decent game and we only lost his influence when he was pushed up front. Seems from other comments that young Jack is no longer flavour of the month. Is that because we now have Gibson or just frustration at his constant sideways passing? As regards summer signings we definitely need a right winger (and Pienaar back).

I'm growing really weary of the anti-Rodwell mood on here. People complain that he passes sideways too often. What he does, and what we failed to do on Saturday, is to keep possession of the ball and make the opposition do the chasing. He shows patience. His injury problems are a concern, but otherwise he's got lots going for him - still very young (easy to forget), he has a goal in him and he's a blue. Of course, Moyes, Capello, Pearce, Ray Hall and all the managers linked with an interest in him could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Felli needs some quality support in there for next season. Felli is a ball winning midfielder he is not a striker. We lost the game at Wembley with the school boy tactics that were employed, and that is something that seriously needs addressing! Straq, who was showing some decent glimpses a few weeks back, should have replaced the knackered Cahill like for like occupying their back four and concentrating on their weak links like Agger at left back and Carragher, even their support knew that before the game, to leave Felli to do his job where he is most effective. Felli had a massive job on already with Gibbo and Ossie both MIA.

Rodwell is not worth £5m at the moment. Who is going to pay that for someone with his injuries and minimal ability? He should be tried at centre back or sold. Also, it should be one player out (Felli, Baines, Barkley) to pay for 4 others or preferably, out should go Hibbert, Neville, Cahill, Denis, Anichebe, Osman, Coleman and Rodwell. We should then be able to replace them with Pienaar and 2 others of quality (wingers), Pienaar to play behind Jelavic and promote some of our quality youth/few loans to supplement the squad. Easy!

I'll tell you how important Fellaini is to Everton. He IS Everton. Wait until he gets injured. It's only him doing any work. We will see just how fragile we are as there's nothing in the midfield when he is not there. We need to replace Arteta. Dembele would be nice and Fellaini would like another Belgian in the side. We also need a dog in there to do the dirty work, maybe ask Barry Horne to come out of retirement! Add to that a rightsided midfielder to complement Pienaar on the left and we won't be far away. Neville, Cahill, Osman will have to be replaced. Can't see Bill finding this sort of money behind his sofa though.

Is this the start off a long drawn out move. I hope not.

Felli is our best player by a mile but we need a least 3 midfielders to help him out and a striker to give Jelly a hand up front. Gibson was piss poor.

Fella and Gibson is the our centre midfield & both young enough to be there for years to come and build around. To sell either one of them would be backward. There's loads more bit part players to sell, Rodwell, Anichebe etc.

Felli was our best player!! Can't believe how attitudes change towards the team after one game. It's a massive disappointment but we can still finish above Liverpool and hopefully kick on next year (sell Rodwell) to raise funds - not Felli. Liverpool are a good cup team. That's all they are.

This has annoyed me so so much. Satisfied?? Does this prick know who we were playing? To think that as an Everton fan i was just satisfied to go to wembley for a day out in the sun. Does he think I was satisfied to travel to London to see him do his job? One of the most annoying things about Fellani is that he has the ability to go out and really dominate games in the middle of the park week in week out but just doesn't do it. Obviously he is just satisfied with being a footballer and doing his job instead of becoming a great player at the centre of a team who win trophies

First signing has to be Peanuts, I think even he realises where he belongs now, then, for me there are one or two players we need to ship out, would Rodwell be worth a sale?? Who know's what his price tag is now after a really disappointing season, would it be worth selling him on? We need to keep hold of Fellaini, he is a very, very good player one of which in my eyes comes under far to much criticism, he takes an awful lot of responsibility in the midfield and deserves greater plaudits for the job he does, he is Gravesen and Carlsen rolled into one, and in my opinion I truly believe that in two or three years he will be a world class player.

Fellaini was by far our best player at Wembley and controlled the midfield when he was in there.

The worrying thing he said is that we should be satisfied with how far we got. Satisfied with losing to the shite and missing out on a Cup Final?? Don't think so!

Felli is right. If he wasn't pushed up front in second half we would not have lost the midfield battle. We do need more quality. Tim Cahill was anonymous the whole game. Felli was our best player first half. It was Moyes' bad decision to move him up front which cost us the game. Gerrard did not get a kick when Felli was marking him.

Lucky to get 10 million for Rodwell. He's over rated and injury prone for his age.

He is one of our best players ! Selling him = backwards move for the club , we need more like him , not less

I hope we keep hold of Fellaini. He is a great player and although he may not have set the game alight he did turn up, unlike a lot of the others. I think the criticism he is receiving is unfair as there were at least 8 players who played a lot worse IMO.

"Maybe the curly haired one may be the player to move on in the Summer to raise the money for new players." Sell Fellaini? Really? Sell Rodwell whilst we can still get some decent money for him.
