Our Jack's Season Is Over
Bookmark and Share

We reported two weeks ago that Jack Rodwell was struggling with his hamstring injury and that he would miss Euro 2012 and this is now confirmed. He will also miss the chance of playing for the GB team in the Olympics.

The hamstring problems which have haunted him at Everton this season are still there and the summer will be spent putting Our Jack back on the road to full fitness.

Rumours in the last close season were that Manure were ready to splash out £20m on Our Jack, perhaps we should have bitten their hand off? Or do you think that Jack is one to build the team around for the future?

What do you think?

I feel for Jack. I think he has all the attributes to make a top midfielder, but he cannot put 5 games together. I fear that a promising career is just going to fizzle out which would be a great shame. I hope I'm wrong.

Give the lad a break, he was superb for us before he got injured. Too many fans criticizing left right and center. Wouldn't say to build the team around, but definitely a player with vast potential (as long as he stays fit). For ours and England sake, I hope he gets over the hamstring problem and comes back stronger and hungrier than ever, because we need it.

Did you know that 'Rodders' was told to sell his Audi Q8 because they found it was one of/a cause of his hamstring problems? Today he was driving a Range Rover! Incredible.

Didnt Stevie GBH hav similar issues at the start of his career? All the way till he was about 23. Jack's got a few years on that yet, so worth persevering with for a while longer. If it doesnt work out down the line we can sell him to 1 of the clubs coming up from the Championship for an inflated price like everyone else seems to do...

He doesn't appear to be good enough to build a team around. We keep talking about this young lad with potential, but if he had it in him, we would've seen it by now. Perhaps he'd fare better in a stronger team, but he certainly isn't a leader to build a team around.
