Fella And Jella The Way Forward
Bookmark and Share

Marouane Fellaini gave a man of the match performance playing further forward in the midfield in the 4-4 game at Old Trafford last Sunday. He linked up well with leading goalscorer Nikica Jelavic and scored a goal himself.

The Belgium international is happy to carry on playing there for the rest of the season, starting with the home game against Fulham on Saturday. It looks like the way forward.

Felli said: "The manager put me behind the striker and I played for the team. The manager decided that and I was happy. When I played in Belgium, I didn't play this position. But when I came to Everton, the manager put me in behind the striker and I played well and scored some goals. It was good for me."

"I've played in games like that before, but against Manchester United it's special. They're a big team, you're playing at Old Trafford against big players but Everton played well and we deserved to get back in the game.

"For my goal, it was a nice cross from Hibbo and I just had to concentrate for the volley. It was nice to score.

"I couldn't believe though after it went 4-2 that we could draw the game. But we gave everything, worked hard, we had chances to score and we took those chances."

"At the moment the team is scoring lots of goals and we have now four games which we will try to win and the first is against Fulham. I hope and we will try to win every game. The team wants to finish above Liverpool. We will try."
