Jelly Needs A Partner

Amazingly all of Jelly's goals for Everton have been one touch first time efforts. We know we have someone special on our hands and he is on fire at the moment.

Moyesy is still making decisions of how to get the best from Jelly and who to play supporting him. Felli was superb alongside Jelly against Utd and maybe this is the way to go.

Tim Cahill has had a  go and has shown a return to form since Jelly came on the scene.

Who would you have as Jelly's partner?

David Moyes said: "At the moment his form has been excellent and he has exceeded expectations. He has finished moves off and made us look clinical in the box.

"In the early part of the season it looked like we would have to score a brilliant goal.

"Now if we get the ball in the box he will be on the end of a lot of things, whether it be with his head like last week or some of the finishes with his feet recently."

"I wasn't sure how quickly he would settle. I wasn't totally sure how he would fit in and when I brought him in I thought we would start to rebuild bits of the team.

"I am sure we are still looking to see what is the best type of player to play with Jelavic and how we can mould that for the years to come.

"But he came along when we were on a high. We had just beaten Manchester City, the team had just started to grow in confidence and we had also got in Steven Pienaar, in addition to Darron Gibson and Landon Donovan before that.

"There were signs we were doing better but his goals have put the icing on it.

"He can link the play up, he gets hold of the ball for us as well and has settled in really quickly with the boys.

"They have made him feel really welcome and I think that has helped him."

Players that spring to mind for me are jelle vossen (genk) and bas dost (heerenveen) both whom score plenty and have done over a few seasons who shouldn't be that expensive either. Another is lucas barrios at dortmund who is great but isn't happy as he isn't getting any game time.

Dempsey. Also banging them in for fun.... Felli up front all season might regress us back to the long ball

Just get him another top striker to play alongside him and Everton will starting the season on the right foot, Moyes needs to change his mindset

In……Dempsey from fulham pienaar from spurs Moses from Wigan Tomkins from west ham maybe fletcher from wolves as back up he's a guy that scored 10+ goals in a very poor relegated wolves team. Out…… rodwell anichebe. Out on loan vellios and season for the season these are young lads who to be playing football!!!

Felli is the answer, he's tall, his hold up play is brilliant and then with hibbo / bainsey charging up the wings to get a cross in we cant go wrong. Just look at our last 3 Games - we scored 12 goals, if only hadn't bottled it at Wembley.......................

No, for me it's either Fellaini or Osman. Jelavic is a target man and so his Cahill. If we were to bring someone in to partner him I would have Mark Davies from bolton or Hoillet if he would come to us, as he is free at the end of the season.

It's got be the same as the OT game for me but long term I would look to put in Barkley with Timmy being the stand by as his age is taking the edge of his game/graft. Barkley has to get a run in andd I think Felli and Gibbo can cover in a time of uncertainty by the lad but no doubt Moyes willl see that. I love It When We're Great To Watch. COYB!!!!

Long term in cant be Cahill, i really think The Count could be very good with The Assassin, because he holds the ball up really well and lays off, would take alot of pressure of him.

Fellaini is the answer, With Pienaar, Gibbo, Barkley, Tim and Jelavic, Our attack could look really exiting. I would be really tempted to give young Ross an hour amongst some lads who showed last Sunday that they can turn it on. This could only benefit him and would give us a bit of extra flair while Leighton is out (Distin must continue at left back). Fellaini was at Home, behind Jelavic and he seemed to play with far better vision. Surely this has to be the start of a regular pattern, we now have the luxury of a solid Defensive/Mid in Darron Gibson, so we can afford to give this a chance. Be Bold Mr Moyes and lets go out to win. COYB.

Tim isnt getting any younger and to get the best out him next season then I think he will need resting from time to time, so 1 idea is to play either jack (when fit)! alonside gibbo and big felli up top will jelly. By playing jelly and felli together means we could also give young ross more games, thus lowering the average squad age without actually buying anyone. jelly has been immense so i am more thsn happy to see either felli or tim partner him.
