Watch For A Few Surprises From Tolis Next Season
Bookmark and Share

Apostolos Vellios is hoping to pull a few surprises next season. The Greek youngster has scored three times this season and won the Everton young player of the season award.

Tolis said: "I am really happy. I want to say a big thanks to all the Blues who voted for me.

"I'm so proud. It has given me more confidence for the future to be better.

"I looked at the names of the previous winners and it's a big honour that my name will be there with them.

"It was a good season for me, but I think I have many surprises for next season."

Ill be guttered and pissed off if this lad doesnt get a chance. He's done everything right when he's come on and then he's out of the picture for the rest of the season. Same with Ross (but his absence could be explained by age and waiting for a long term deal to signed to ward off the vultures). Tollos is 21 now as is Jose and Jacks a fully grown man now- there's no reason to cushion these lads anymore. Get them all on as much as possible and lets see what they can do. Any news on how George Green is progressing?

I think there's a lot of promise there. I would bring him on slowly so as not to demoralise him if he has a poor run. It depends on his attitude in day to day training. Only Moyes can make that judgment.

I think he should be given a chance to play with the mighty Jelavic next season. Imagine the space he'd have when the defenders of the opposition would be to busy marking Jelavic???

I'm a big fan of Vellios and I was surprised when he dissapeared from the first team after a very promising spell, much like Ross Barkley. I would like to see how he plays alongside Jelavic next year! These two could be like a couple of extra signings if they manage to break into the first team.

Dont laugh but i see an awful lot of Jelevic in Vellios, he has the touch and is a cool, customer, only 21 ? strong and quick, good feet a chiropodists fantasy !( ok no more corny jokes) i have very very high hopes for him. It is a mystery as to why he has been unused in the latter part of the season. Next season like he says will show him making a big step up

A nice bit of irony that all Everton fans should know first that Pep Guardiola will NOT be going to the redshite next season. He came to the school I teach at last week for info for his kids on our sister school in..........NEW YORK. Naturally I asked him and he LAUGHED!!! Not as much as me though. My son even got his autograph. Brilliant.
