The Semi Defeat Hurts Me Everyday
Bookmark and Share

Losing against the redshite in the semi has hurt me every day since it happened and it's pleasing that it hurts David Moyes and the boys. I'm already looking forward to next season for revenge. If Moyesy can keep the squad together and add Peanuts and a couple of decent buys I think next season will be the one for a trophy

I think I've said that before every season for the last 10. But we are Evertonians, it's what we do.

Moyesy said "I do feel there has been a good feeling around Goodison since the turn of 2012. The one match since January which sticks in our throats is the semi-final defeat to Liverpool at Wembley. I don't think it is something I, or the players, will forget in a hurry."

Phil Neville said: "Wembley still isn't out of my system but it will be by the time next season comes along," he says. "I'd rank that as the biggest disappointment of my career but setbacks happen in football and you have to respond to them in the right way. We'll be back again."

Having just turned 50 (ouch) I was there for all the dissapointments against the devil's spawn, since the earl 70's and the way I've described it all, is to say "It takes a lifetime to get over them, then another comes along." We should have battered the stinking bastrads, pure and simple: to not have done so, will haunt me til dick docks, along with the others. When Michael Thomas scored THAT goal, it helped meke up for a lot of having had to watch the sponky melts 'win' trophy after trophy, but the semi was VERY hard to take. By the way-services south of Brum-no fan designation, absolutely packed with fans and (I swear) about three shite there. What does that tell you?

The way to look at it chaps is like this...... YES, FC Orc (orrible r3d c**ts ) beat us three times last season... BUT they spent over £130 million to do it, they fought cried and whined their way thru the season to the point where the rest of the division now hates them, they finished well below us and finally, they ended their season of comedy by sacking 'King k3nny'.... Dont be bitter, be Blue and savour the moment.

Maybe if the team played with a little flair when it counts we would have made the final.
