I hate when the season finishes. My missus has got a list of jobs as long as your arm to do.
But Moyesy has made me feel better with his optimism for next season. You get the feeling that this will be a very important season for the blues boss. The fire in his belly is still there and like all Evertonians he wants a better season than the last.
And so say all of us.
David Moyes said: "I do think the last few months have provided lots of reasons to be optimistic about the future. Indeed, I am certainly delighted with the way the players have responded in the second half of the season.
"There is no doubt that our acquisitions in January have had a big impact for us. I offer my thanks to Landon Donovan. He came here in January and once against played a crucial role when we needed him in those early weeks in 2012.
"Each of our January arrivals as given us a big lift and it was also notable the lift it gave to the supporters. Our performances have continued to improve and there is no doubt our January arrivals have given the squad an extra dimension."
"Over the years we have been able to put down what I feel are good foundations and I believe those solid foundations are the reason we continue, in the main, to achieve a top half position in the Premier League."
"But sometimes that can be seen as not enough and I do understand that the expectations have risen and that many supporters would now see a top 10 finish as only being adequate. It says a lot about where the club has come in recent years."
