Matt Lowton has just joined Aston Villa from Sheffield United and he says he hopes to emulate Phil Jagielka, another former Blade, and achieve similar success.
The 23 year old defender hopes to follow in Jags footsteps and earn an England call up.
Jags move for Sheffield United to Everton back in 2007 has been a resounding success resulting in 12 England caps to date.
Lowton said: 'Jags is a hero. He's done it all and to have someone who's gone from the same club that I have and gone on to play for England is fantastic.'
'I've got to establish myself with Villa first but hopefully I can go on to emulate him.'
'I'm pleased to have signed for Aston Villa but sad to have left Sheffield United.'
What a role model! Anyone who can emulate Jags is in line for a successful career.
