Everton have announced that Joao Silva has joined Levski Sofia for an undisclosed fee.

The Portugal Under-21 striker leaves Everton after two years with the Club, he never made a first team appearance.

Joao Silva was signed from Portuguese second tier side Desportivo Das Aves in June 2010 after 14 goals in 32 appearances convinced the Club to bring him to England.

He had loan spells with Uniao Desportiva de Leiria and Vitoria FC back in Portugal before the news today that Everton had accepted an offer from Bulgarian outfit Levski Sofia.

Let's hope it works out for him in Bulgaria.

Everton have paid him his last wage, there is no chance of, 'I owe Silva!'
