Jack Rodwell replaced Phil Jones to make his full International debut against Spain. Jack came on with over 30 minutes left and put in a very mature performance that will give him plenty of confidence to become a real star of the future.
Jack said:"To get out on the pitch on the senior stage is just a dream come true.
"It was a really hard game, they are great side and keep the ball well and have lots of possession, but I got on the pitch and that was the main thing."
"Your club form will get you here on merit and I want to keep on playing well for Everton and keep on moving forward as a player."
Bobby Capello said: "The victory was important for the players' confidence and for the confidence of the fans.
"But the most important thing for me was the performance of Rodwell, of Welbeck and Jones.
"These are are really good young players and I saw that these players will be very important for the next years. They played without fear, with personality and techncially and physically showed they are ready to play with the seniors."
