Ex Everton defender and Croatia coach Slaven Bilic has given a big hint that Nikica Jelavic will lead his team's attack during EURO 2012 now that Ivica Olic has been ruled out with a thigh injury.
Bilic, is to leave after six years as national coach at the end of Euro 2012 to join Lokomotiv Moscow, said Jelly's form this year for Everton is one of the reasons why he's confident about Croatia's chances despite being grouped with Spain and Italy, the last two world champions.
Bilic said: 'His impact was so strong and so sudden that it was quite unbelievable.'
'He is one of our biggest assets in this tournament, especially now that we've lost Olic.'
'The match is crucial for both teams - a defeat for either would make it very difficult to progress, with matches looming against Italy and Spain.'
'We have a Plan A, a Plan B and a Plan C if necessary.'
You can get 4-1 on Jelly being leading goalscorer for Croatia and 25-1 for him to be leading scorer in Euro 2012.
