Everton's Early Bird success.

You would have thought Early Bird season ticket sales wouldn't go well after the disappointment of the FA Cup semi final and another bad start to the season.

You'd be wrong.

The sales went very well thus proving how loyal Evertonians are.

The window closed at midnight on Friday 20th April with almost 20,000 Evertonians guaranteeing their seat at Goodison Park for every Premier League game next season. Season Ticket sales are up 2% on last year's figure at the close of the Early Bird window.

CEO Fun Bobby Elstone says: "This year's Early Bird numbers have been very encouraging on a number of fronts and I would like to personally thank all Evertonians who have made the decision to commit for 2012/13.

Renewal rates have been extremely positive but one of the more pleasing aspects is the number of new Evertonians purchasing a Season Ticket - especially our young supporters.

Following the success of the £5 FA Cup kids ticket this season, we were looking forward to the introduction of our new kids ticket and it's fantastic to see that more than half of the 1,000 purchased so far are new Season Ticket holders and will be experiencing Goodison Park on a regular basis next season.

This year, online sales have grown to well over 50% and almost 20% of supporters have taken up the option of spreading their payments via the 'easy to buy from' Direct Debit scheme.

The Early Bird campaign was only the first stage. There is still a long way to go but existing Season Ticket holders only have until May 13 to guarantee their seat.  After this point we will have some great seats available and will keep everyone in touch as to how you can buy."

So if you want a good seat, get in NOW and don't complain afterwards.

You have been warned.

Can I just respond to Andy from Huyton, why be so negative. We all hope there will be money available but we have to live in the real world, you can't spend money you don't have! We have all seen what has happened to nclubs who have been bought buy non footballing concerns, and do we want to go down the Rangers road, I think not. I would ask why we the supporters could not invest in someway into the club to give DM more cash to spend.

Great News I think.BUT......although it's early doors yet,we were down by a club reported 10% last year.Which again, although it is a step in the right direction,I would like to see that 8% loss made up by the start of the new season.

Lets see if the cabbage patch doll and his cohorts are as loyal as the fans by backing the manager early in the transfer window instead of hanging him out to dry like they normally do. I won't hold my breath though.
