Everton Beat Huddersfield In Friendly
Bookmark and Share

With the majoirity of the Everton first team squad away on International duty this week, David Moyes arranged a sneaky game against Championship side, Huddersfield Town.

The game was played behind closed doors at Finch Farm yesterday and Everton won 2-1.

The senior players who took part were skipper Phil Neville, Tony Hibbo, Buzz Lightyear, Leon Osman, Big Vic, Maggy Gueye and Ross Barkley.

Everton goals came from Ossie who scored the first and Maggie who got the winner. Inbetween Huddersfield scored through Liverpool-born, Adam Hammill.

Huddersfield coach Steve Eyre said: "This was a fantastic contest held between two sets of senior professionals; it was played at a full-on intensity in a healthy environment. The facilities at Finch Farm are great and the pitch was amazing.

The real positive from our perspective is that we picked up no injuries and everyone got time on the pitch. I'm really delighted with everyone's attitude towards the game and we'd like to thank David Moyes and Everton for setting the game up with us."

No details more details available from Everton. We got this from the Huddersfield Town website
