Steven Pienaar has been nominated for the CAF African Player of the Year Award. The Everton midfielder currently injured is in a 17-man shortlist.
The attacking midfielder was named Everton’s Player of the Season for the 2009/10 campaign and has been a key player for Bafana Bafana over the past year.
However the World Cup was a disappointment and Peanuts faces stiff opposition from Asamoah Gyan, who had a great World Cup and Samuel Eto'o who won the treble with Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan.
Peanuts says: "The nomination for CAF player of the year is a great honor!"
