Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines hope to play a part for England against Italy in Switzerland tomorrow night.
The game is being played at The Wankdorf Stadium! It really is. Hope they are both ready!!
Jags is hoping to build his fitness in readiness to face Manure on Monday night. Jags and Bainesy both had splinters in their arse at Euro 2012 keeping the bench warm and hope to feature tomorrow.
Jags said: 'We have got a few days of training and are away with England and hopefully we can get a little bit more game time while away there.'
'I spoke to the gaffer and he is more than happy for me to go away and play and hopefully get a bit more valuable time under my belt. Obviously Bainesy and I came back a little later for pre-season and if we can both get a decent amount of time on the pitch against Italy that would be good.'
'We get to watch the big Premier League kick-off before a nice easy home game against Manchester United. In seriousness, it will be fantastic. Night games at Goodison are special and with it being Man United that adds that bit extra.'
'It is nice to see Roy Hodgson using the game to experiment. There are a few lads who deserve a cap and it is good to see that happening.'
