Last night was good news for all of our lads except Seamus.
Seamus and the Republic suffered a 6-1 mauling from Germany.
It is great to see two lads in the England side. Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka had easy games in the 5-0 win over San Marino. It will be interesting to see if Bainsey keeps his place for the Poland game on Tuesday. He should be given the opportunity but it will be doubtful.
Johnny Heitinga played the full ninety for Holland in the 3-0 win over Andorra.
Jela was subbed late on for Croatia in the 2-1 victory over Macedonia.
Our great USA goalie let one in as the States beat beat Antigua and Barbuda 2-1
Bryan Oviedo played the full ninety in the 1-0 win over El Salvador.
Super Kev Mirallas had the easiest of nights. He came on as sub with two minutes to go in the 3-0 win over Serbia and scored the third with in extra time.
