A friend of mine is due to start chemotherapy for cancer of the liver. He is a good blue who has travelled home and away for almost 40 years.
Andy Martin is facing a daunting few months ahead and as can be expected is very worried and low. Me and a number of his friends have got together to try and assist him through this period and keep his spirits up, as well as thinking of ways of doing this.
With this in mind do you think it would be possible to maybe set up something similar to what you have now with the photos sent by fans on their travels? Possibly fans holding up signs like "Good Luck Andy" or "Get Well Soon Andrew" from various places around the globe etc?
I'm sure this will cheer him up.....and once again emphasise how us blues really are the best fans when it comes to looking after our own.
*As an aside, the person in question is the lad who won £250,000 on Who Wants to be a Millionaire in 2001 and said he wanted to shutdown Anfield.
Also We've had loads of responses on twitter via @doyleyefc , including Tim Cahill, Davey Weir, Peter Reid, Phil Nevilles Mrs, Tony Bellew, Tubes (Soccer AM), aswell as with lads we don't even know offering to take pics when they go away shortly.
Thank you for your assistance. John Doyle
